I wish some people would watch football before commenting on players.
Nasri has had one of the shittiest season with Marsellie. For an Attacking Midfielder his goals/game ratio is absolutely laughable. His previous season was a much better one, but at this point he is nothing but a talent, and not a very good one. Thats why Arsenal manage to get him so cheap. Its a huge gamble with Nasri. Will he or wont he become a good player?

Quaresma is already a star, with impressive perfomances in the Portuguese league, in CL and with the Portuguese NT. For almost all Portugal NT, he always outshines C.Ronaldo. A right winger but can play on the left as well, depending on the teams need. Can cross 50 times better than any player in our squad. He may not have as much pace or skill as C.Ronaldo, but he is not that behind.

He failed at Barca, cause when he joined them, he was freakin 19. Now he is 24, and is ready for a bigger challenge. I dont like the 40mill Euro tag though. He would be perfect for 30mills.

And the Paki pervert get's it right. Except for the bolded part.:star: Class post.

Zlatan will never go winger. Saki and Mou had some media involed discussion, and Saki commented (and i think mou agreed) modern football heavily depends on counter, and while Saki and some other uses about half of his players to create counter-attack (mostly 4 in Saki's case), Mou depends on a single, fast paced player that can carry the ball.

It was a very long article. I'll try to dig it up if possible.

If we get Quaresma it will be great. He is young and quality player, plus he we will want to play under Mourinho.

Mourinho likes to play 4-3-3, so he needs good wing players and Quaresma suits perfectly for this role.

This wont make this deal less likely.

Porto Banned From The Champions League

UEFA have decided to ban FC Porto from all European Competitions for a period of one year as a result of the Apito Final (Final Whistle) case...

The Dragons had been found guilty of fixing two league matches in the 2003/04 season and UEFA were investigating the case to decide whether to bring any sanction against the Portuguese champions.

UEFA have now decided to apply a one-year ban, which will see Porto missing out on European football next year.

According to Article 1 of the Champions League regulations, a club "must not be or have been involved in any activity aimed at arranging or influencing the outcome of a match at national or international level."

News sources in Portugal claim that FC Porto have already informed the Portuguese Stock Exchange of UEFA's decision and that the Dragons will appeal against the ban.

Porto hope that this case will have a similar ending of Milan's in 2006. After originally being barred because of a corruption investigation, the Rossoneri won the right to play in the Champions League after an appeal.

In case Porto lose their appeal, fourth-placed Benfica are expected to win the right to play in the Champions League third qualifying phase.

Actually quite the opposite. It's even more likely now. Quaresma will demand a transfer since he will want to play in the UCL. It may also lower his price if Quaresma stays out of UCL for one year. They might therefore feel forced to sell him this summer.

It may lower the price but unlikely. Porto still has money and will probably still only sell if the buyout clause is met.

10 Mil pounds ???

That's nothing. If the price is anywhere lower than 30 Mil Euros, I think we won't bargain, because Mourinho wants to have a width in a squad, and Quaresma is at the moment on top of the wingers on the market.

Channel4:
With Porto out of the Champions League, there are intensifying whispers that Inter will make a big-money approach for forward Ricardo Quaresma.

It has now been confirmed that Portuguese champions Porto won’t take part in next season’s Champions League due to accusations of bribery during the 2003-04 campaign.

Barring a successful appeal, Quaresma will not be able to play in the Champions League and he looks increasingly likely to quit the Dragons.

Fellow countryman Jose Mourinho has taken over the Inter hot seat and is believed to be considering linking up with the 24-year-old.

However, Porto are expected to demand in excess of £10m for Quaresma and there are rumours that Liverpool have already tabled a £12m offer.

Mourinho is expected to make three major additions to his squad before the start of next season and there are suggestions that he could axe some peripheral players to make space.

Enigmatic hitman Adriano, former Cagliari striker David Suazo and Argentine stopper Nicolas Burdisso are all possible departures

We have players they might want, + we have money and Jose, so Quaresma is a must.
Even if we dont play on wings, we need winger in team. But in Jsoe case we will paly wide so I expect this transfer...and will love it

I think 25 million euros + a player like Jimenez would be enough.

But his price will not get lower now, more teams will want him since the player don't want to continue there.

IF we get him we have to act now!!! I really think he s price is gonna be a lot higher after the Euro. So if we act now and can get him for something around 20 mios that be a good move

For sure Jose also has some friends in Porto, and if I am not mistaken Jose and Ricardo have the same agent....

Too simple:)

15m. Great buy for that amount. Maybe we can add a player in there..

But I'm not breaking the bank for Quaresma.

15M€ and I can easily take it, 20M€ and I can just take it. Anything above that is exaggerating of Quaresma's quality. Can't understand people here, throwing 30M€ or so for Quaresma, a 24-year old player playing in Portugal's league. He can be dominating in that kind of league, but in a real league, he needs to be more useful for the team (by a teamwork etc.) and what I've seen Quaresma (in CL and some NT matches), he's just a fancy dribbler with fancy shots with outside of his foot.

I read somewhere that Solari might go to Porto. Can't we maybe use his transfer as a way to reduce the price for Quaresma?
