No I know that, but there are some people's attitude that I just don't like. For example when England win a game or progress in a tournament the newspapers go on about it for weeks as if they are champions! And then when they lose - they never blame themselves!

That's exactly what Italian fans and media do! It's always the ref's fault!

Italy - 4
Belarus - 3

I haven't read that Matrix did mistake or so, and I am hopeful that he didn't. Didn't Belarus score a bit too much ??

You think? :p

Lippi's start has been quite terrible, I'd say!

Gazzetta.it says Matrix game was solid :)

I saw the match, and if this is the Italia that we want to see fighting for the 4th star versus some of the world's finest teams like Brazil or Argentina then we're setting ourselves up for yet another dissapointing finish.

Obviously we were the better team and could have scored more, but the guys have absolutely no chemistry together and it was so obvious that much more work was needed to be done. The defense wasn't as bad as the score-line might suggest, but the midfield was. If it wasn't for Totti and Gila, i don't think one goal could have been scored by us.

Btw, De Rossi is magical. I'm blown away by how mature he plays and how he can organize the midfield so well. Once Cassano is back in the nazionale, I expect us to play a 4-4-2 with Er Pupone behind Cassano and Gila. Atleast that's what i hope for.

I just came from Amsterdam. I was watching Davids in action. Holland-Finland. He played very much like a left wing-back. And very well, too.

That squad looks real good. Lippi seems to understand that he needs to bring young players but he is also bringing players who are on form Montella/Vieri :)

Materazzi will be suspended. So in reality we only have Vieri in this squad who hopefully don´t play much.

Lippi is gonna be a hit, I think.

Just to disagree with you all :D , I think Lippi is doing quite an idiotic thing. Surely, he should introduce some new faces in the NT, but not this many!

Remember, the NT hardly ever have a chance to play and train together. It's vital to create a group of players. Getting so many youngsters means wasting the opportunity that these friendly matches offer: to get this players and make a group.

And where the hell are Toni and Corini???!!

Frisko what do you mean by not this many. I think he didn't over do it. Plus these young players have alot of talent and It is hard to name better players. I do agree that Toni and Corini should at least be on the squad. Cassano is being replaced by Langella. Why Langella when you bring
THE MAGIC BOX GIANFRANCO ZOLA!!!

We have the WC next year. If any of these people are called up in the final squad, they might as well call up me to go along. I mean, if you think these people can achieve something...

If they won't be called up, this friendly is nothing more than a huge waste of time.

Waste of time? Not exactly. In any case Lippi will have a better idea of who´s good enough and who aren´t.

Pancaro and Zaccardo are two fine players.

You saw the goal? Gazzetta says: Fantastico gol di Gilardino su splendido assist di Esposito. :star:

And Barone has increased the lead, it's 2-0 now.
