I don't want us to review any reps really. Because if we start monitoring negative reps, it'd be wrong that we do not review any positive reps that are undeserved or is just a 'trade' between two (or more) members of repping each other up.

And besides, if we're very busy, it may take days for the repped to be approved; it's a very good suggestion but just not viable Luka, sorry.

What if people started to give you negative rep every day, just because it would be funny , would you still say the same ? :>

Just because someone dissagrees with others opinion does not validate giving a negative rep, unless I got the whole "system" wrong.

I would agree with that Shahz, if someone was crying about stuff like: "Why nobody gives me any reps", "Why he has more reps than I do" or stuff like that. That would be indeed hilarious.

But you can't deny that giving someone a negative rep for something that you don't agree to, is simply stupid thing to do at the message board. If that was the case, nobody on this or any other message board would have a positive number of reps.

ps. I also don't give a shit about my rep, although I did give couple of positive reps along the way

I agree about what you've said here, and want to point out, that all I've said in this thread, was just saying that Vito has a point about giving neg reps to people simply out of dissagrement over something. To me that's just stupid, and I wanted to back Vito up in this.

As for the rest, it doesn't concern me, but I agree with you Shahz about it completely.

I actually completely understand vito's points.

But that's the whole point of this reputation thing, it's all about the members' objectivity. Even if you want the mods/admins to approve those negative reps, again it's not so black & white and it depends on our opinion if the negative reps is deserved or not.

If someone gives another a negative rep and it's not approved, there'll be noises. If it is approved, the recipient will bring it up. What if there were no reason given to the negative rep? There will never be an end to it. So it's best to leave it the way it is.

And, like I've mentioned, there is the viability issue. It's just going to slow everything down and take the 'fun' out of it.

So it's either a completely free rep system, or no rep system at all guys. And considering how many of you want this, we're gonna keep it this way unless there's so many harm this rep system cause to the forum that we deem it necessary to take it away.

I don't think there is an need for a rep system and I don't really care, but im just confused about a few things.

Firstly in my CP it says "16 point(s) total" however next to my posts it says Reputation: 2
Secondly I just started giving other Reps, and it wont update for them either.

In FAQ it says something about being able to activate/disable reps in User CP, Edit Options. But I can't find it anywhere
