I fully understand the reasoning for putting him on the pitch when trying to defend a lead/break up play.
Problem is he just doesn't do any of that. He doesn't have the physical ability NOR the correct reading of the game to cover well, and is useless in maintaining possesion.

When this dingbat came on the feeling of dread increased exponentially today. Inter was in trouble before with Barella and Hakan on the pitch prior to their injuries. It was amazing seeing just how worthless his performance was today.

He’s like the extremely tall guy in basketball. No ability, weak mentally, overall a dogshit player. However given their size they still get playing time. If Gags was just a few inches shorter and 20lbs lighter I genuinely think he’d top out at a Serie C level.
