I'm happy it's not the ridiculous 83m as reported earlier. This signing is still far from perfect, but for the sake of staying positive to avoid depression and anger issues, I'd say 65m + bonus over a span of 5 years (if this is true) actually sounds okayish to me.

Yeah, you didn't 83 million but 65 million plus 13 million which is easily achievable bonus, So Will end up paying 78 million.

It's not a deal worth celebrating for both clubs.

The question is how easy achievable these bonuses are. If he does well and scores shitloads of goals nobody here will complain about 78 millions. And it's a good deal for Manutd as is and potentially even better for both clubs if Lukaku delivers.

It's not even about Lukaku for me here, he is a good player, I don't expect him to win a Scudo for us singlehandedly or anything like that, even the real Ronaldo who is one of the best football players ever, couldn't do it with a Rube mafia.
I think Lukaku is more suited to Italian and Conte football than to Ole's EPL style
Also what Mou did last season was horrible for u guys, also your defense is shiiit, or was... Nothing worked so everyone looked worse, even Pogba who is world class

As i ve always stated i think he s a good Icardi replacement IMHO maybe even the best one when taking age into consideration (assuming kane is not available).
My beef with this transfer was always that i rate him slightly less then I rate Icardi although i have to admit that one could see it the other way around depending on preferences. THe other thing that makes me question this move is i dont know how good a fit he is for serie A to me it always felt like epl is his best fit.

Still think we re slightly overpaying with that bonus the 65 mio on it s own imho should have been enough to get him here.

Anyways now that he s one of us I just hope he turns out to be a beast and not the biggest flop of our history.
