Best striker we had since Milito, or Ronaldo Nazario?
Yeah, best since Milito. Milito was absolute clutch, but there is still chance for Lukaku to become that clutch.
But what about Lautaro... Best second striker since?
We haven't deployed a second striker since 2014 though.
I honestly have no clue why we kept going with that silly 4-2-3-1. Inter needs to play with two up front.
Yeah I know, biased. Funny thing though. I was also biased when I was in buyount mood when we signed him despite him "not scoring more than 20" and was biased when we got rid of icardi because "off the field stuff means shit and we are morons forcing him out".Who said anything about Ronaldo's record? and no he doesnt think of passing first and yes he is a diva on the pitch and this post is the perfect example of bias towards a player to try and justify anything in ur head. Carry on though

Ronaldo scored 34 goals in his debut season at Inter Milan. Lukaku is currently on 33.
Ronaldo's final goal of the season came in the UEFA Cup final.

The similarity of the circumstances between that 97/98 season and this season. Finishing second in the league. Making it to the UEFA Cup/Europa League final. Impressive debut season of a high profile striker (Ronaldo/Lukaku).
Guess I'll just stop there. Don't want to continue by mentioning the expected potential similarity for our final game this season due to jinx alert.
But the context is absolutely not similar.
When Ronnie came, Serie A was at it's peak. Now the difference in quality between the top teams and the lower end teams are to big.
When Ronnie played in Serie A, you had legendary defenders and football in it's whole was more competitive. That's why I don't fall for the numbers game.
Lukaku is a good striker don't get me wrong, but please..... don't compare stats from previous era's to those of today.
Didn't Ronnie also have better teamplayers around him?
To be honest with you, in my opinion Ronnie didn't have a better team around him.
Inter's strongest team of today (that means a team without Gagliardini ) can easily hold a candle to that team of 97-98.

eh? i hope you're not serious.
