It seems Lukaku is eager to help Chelsea take back everything they paid for him by keep extending his stay here.

I don’t get the hate of him requesting to leave to Chelsea. He earned the club a nice amount of money.

So what if he left for Chelsea and broke some hearts. He did himself and the club a huge favour.

In these situation we should all try to be utilitarian

He put the club in trouble since the transfer got initiated in late July and happened in August.

I agree that club got great fee out of him so it wasn't a disaster in that sense. We would have needed to sell someone anyway.

Correct Cafe, but then there is also the case of Hakimi. Ofcourse we can only speculate, but I believe if Lukaku was sold first, Hakimi would've probably stayed.

Lol the illusion that we have sometimes.
Apart of the why he left saga that we have discussed in due time and i hold my opinion that he didn't do anything wrong. He was not an Inter youth product that suddenly left us. He got a great offer, we got a great offer, and the sale was done. but now even the new saga of why he talks so much lol...

Guys, we are not in our glory days, Lukaku like it or not is our only big-name player. He attracts attention more than all the other players taken together and that at least puts us in the global map. When i walk in London i haven't seen Calhanoglu or Di Marco in the street posters but i have seen Lukaku and his Armani or whatever ads.
Yes he speaks a lot, but as long as you don't buy in the BS of i love this club since i was a kid, no harm is done.

He has been unlucky with injuries this year which has never been a case for him in the past so stop with this BS of injury prone player.
Whenever he is fit, he and Lautaro make a great asset to have. None of them is good enough taken alone but the two together click like glue so i am gladly taking him for another loan as long as we don't invest stupid money (40M+) on him.

I believe 20M a year for a player that is on loan while you take months/years to renew the contracts of the best players that you actually own is what you call investing stupid money, when will it end? Are we going to keep paying for a loan every year until the end of his contract at Chelsea? In 2027 when he will be 34? Are we going to buy him? How much? You suggest we keep paying for a player we don't own? There are for sure players that cost less than 20M transfer fee + wages that we could try but we keep going for walking dead players over 30, there is no reason the likes of Napoli are trying their luck to find players like Kvaratskhelia, Zambo-Anguissa and Min Jae Kim and absolutely roasting the hell out of Serie A while we are here losing Skriniar and chosing to go with the old old (but still phenomenal) Dzeko, the skeleton of Mkhitaryan, fat Lukaku and hoping to sign Smalling and co, we are not poor we are dumb with our money.
There are modern strikers that can offer us different skills than Lukaku but we are way too scared to try anything new. Just "well he was good for us two years ago in a whole different context when he was fit, with a different team, a different coach, a different tactic, even a different Serie A so for sure he will turn good again, let's just hope and pray".

I wonder where is this kind of mentality for all our other players, Handanovic, De Vrij, even Skriniar or Brozovic at the time, Dumfries, Barella, Lautaro, Dzeko, they all get constantly sh*t on, Lukaku on the other hand, the 20M loaned star, who has done f*ck all for the last 6 months, nothing other than posing in Armani underwear and running his mouth to the media, gets all the patience of the world.

Also I don't think anybody said he was injury prone, he tends to gain weight way too easily and takes months to even look like a football player again especially when things don't go his way on the pitch, that's the problem in terms of fitness. You'd think that when he saw how useful he can be while perfectly fit under Conte and Pintus he would work towards staying fit but it went all down the toilet in less than a year.

It's actually Calvin Klein, you haven't been following the story so your post is irrelevant.

It was funny to see how pissed Barella was at him all the time. Lukaku just kept fucking up shit so many times.

He had some good moments too, of course, but he's not in a game breaker form. Good for him is we gonna have some easy opponents next. In those games, he can be the game breaker.

We should be steering clear of this guy next summer. Let him rot at Chelsea or move on to his next team. Give Dzeko his extension instead.

Lukaku's role is to eat up defenders like the fat man at the pasta house and he does that very well. He creates space. What really matters the rest of the way is him playing 100% with focus on winning everything in his way. Then you worry about all the other shit after the season.

The guy is maddening. But when he's on we are nasty.

I don't mind him having the first touch of a rapist, but his shooting needs to get better. At least shoot on goal, for fucks sake.

I think his shoot in the first half was well placed, but the goalkeeper touched the ball.
But overall, his shooting right now is a confidence issue imo. He is not clinical finisher like Icardi but usually he strikes straight to the keeper which should be counted as a shot on the goal 😉

If he had just shot low into the short corner it would have been a goal imo. Shot way too wild. Other than that it's good to have him get his minutes but for now Dzeko-Lautaro should be the 2 upfront.
