No, I think what probably happened was as the offers materialised and we kept asking Lukaku to cut salary further and further and kept submitting offers that showed our financial position, he's decided realistically to stay in Italy there's only one club that meets the parameters as Milan won't pay the salary. It wasn't even know for sure Allegro would be staying at Juve a month ago, nor the outcome of all their trials etc. I honestly very.much doubt Juve were making any real plans by then.

I thought Lukaku offered to cut his salary by 1m? Also, Alegri was staying even when they were in a shitshow, why wasn't it known that he would stay a month ago? They've iterated many times that Alegri was/is there to stay, he's simply too expensive to sack.
