If anything Eriksen should have closed down without turning his back.

He should have, but watch again.

The entire midfield moved in synchrony. They're just following the tactical direction there. Too mechanical. They're not paying attention to their surroundings, they are focused on the tactical aspect completely. Which is the ball position vs player's expected position. If our players were left more room to think, this would have never been a threatening situation.

I really like Handanovic and I respect what he’s done for us the entire time he’s been here. But I’m going to say he isn’t on my all time top Inter GKs of all time for the only reason that he has the worst record vs our biggest rivals juBe. I think no other big keeper in the last 40-50 years who played several seasons for us has conceded more goals in Derby D’Italia than he did. This is my only problem with him maybe besides his infamous statue pose trademark.

LGI he would be named and I wouldn’t have a problem with it but for me and on our all time standards he’s not even close the other greats who preceded him (Julio, Toldo, Pagliuca, Zenga, Sarti, Bordon, Buffon..)

Certainly hope he stays for 2-3 more years with us but not as a lone starter, hoping we’d get better luck choosing the next GK.

I don't really put him on that level either but to be fair to him, he had some truly dogshit lineups in front of him for much of his career here

''he’s not even close the other greats who preceded him ''. Who the fuck are you talking about, Sebastien Frey perhaps?? 3X GK of the year aint even close enough?.... I am not gonna talk about the gk's from the 60's and 70's cause no one here was watching them, but he for sure is close to all of the rest. You can say he's not better, but ''not close'' is a stupid thing to say.

oh and he has a'' bad record vs Juve''. Yea, the same Juve that was a 9 times straight champion and was destroying all the teams. Damn you Handanovic, how couldnt you stop them with Rano, Campagnaro, Juan Jesus and corpses of Vidic and Samuel infront of you. Not every gk is lucky enough to play in an era where Juventus is shit.

Handanovic was one of the biggest reasons in our banter years that we even were in the positions we ended up being.

Now that he's in decline, people come out to bash that legacy?

Handa actually made some scudetto winning saves, he is one of the reasons for the title and he is actually far to blame for the failures of Europe so he is till starting material here in my book.

He's of course starting material in terms of we don't have anyone else to replace him. :D Of course I'd take someone better but it's questionable are there someone in the market and then, what will be the cost?

This dude has been with us through thick and thin. Been here ever since our decline and darkest days and saw us all the way through to the end. LGI material without a doubt.

The weird part is that he was at his best when we were at our worst, and now in his decline we reached our peak. It's sad that we never synced up, but at least we got a scudetto out of it.

That's the most important thing. Handanovic needed to get the Scudetto for all the shit he had to go through during his years at Inter.

Never forget that Empoli game which I guess could be attributed to be one of epitomes of Handa at Inter.

Wtf are you guys on about? If anyone here thinks we should start with him next season for the sole reason that he was our best player during our banter era is nuts. He’s flat out not been good enough and is in clear decline, he will be even worse next year than this year. If we want to move forward we need get a new keeper in and at least interchange the 2 of them

Please point the post or sentence which claims this bolded part of your post. I would appreciate if you read people's posts first and understand what is said there and what is NOT said there before you post these "you guys are nuts!" things (I'll give you a hint, you won't find it).

I agree we need a new keeper but let's see what our finances say about it.

Handanovic, Sanchez and Barella probably won us the most points this season with their impact, but yeah, one sucks, the other needs to go and the other us overrated...

Handa is defo LGI.

Fuck if there’s any disagreements he can take Toldo’s place, he was only ever good at warming the bench anyway.

Still baffles me that he’s considered a legend. 2001-2010. Thankfully deposed of the main spot in the 05/06 season but still managed to show up in 05/06 to put us out of the CL with a howler, showed up in 06/07 to get destroyed by Roma in the coppa final and everything in between is just too painful to recall.

I wouldn't say Handa is in the very highest category of Goalkeepers I've seen, but in the level just below it (still elite and for a very long time).

He came to a bankrupt Inter with a garbage roster. Tough to shit on the guy.

I love The Mexican Hugo Sanchez he basically said if he was born in Argentina or Brazil he would have multiple World Cup. Kind of a dick thing to say that your country men suck but honest. It’s why players pick the US over Haiti, Jamica, etc. or why France is a African all star team. Players want to win

Today is his 329 league game with Inter. He is the goalkeeper with the most league appearances with Inter.

First breaks a record and then lifts a trofhy. Thats a pretty good day.

I'm guessing he's still going to be our starting keeper next season. Simply because we cannot afford to sign a new starter.

Handa should retire before he needs to see another banter era.
