Also the calculations shouldn't be done that way. It's just misleading. Acquistions and sales are handled differently in bookkeeping. People might just add those figures up and calculate "net spending" when there are so much more to this. The amortized values left for the sold players play important part in these equations.

Drastic example:
CR7 is sold this summer. Amortized value left 75M, sold for 100M => 25M profit.
Icardi is sold this summer. Amortized value left 2M, sold for 100M => 98M profit.
Dalbert is sold this summer. Amortized value left 13M, sold for 13M => 0M profit.

We would have zero use for this one trick pony Suso. I would not take anyone from current Milan imho. Maybe a swap with Donnarumma if they'll give extra cash . But even then, grandpa Handa is one of the best GK in the league, so still no.

The only players I'd take are Piatek, Bonaventura (if healthy) and Romagnoli.

Bonaventura is a good rotation option as he's versatile and not a liability when he plays. Romagnoli I'd say no under normal circumstances since we're stacked in defence but he's a classy left footed CB which we could use in a 3 man defence and Piatek is a player we lack since Icardi is going away. And I was strongly in favor of grabbing him from Genoa before his move and playing him in a 2 man attack regardless of who was around.

All of those suck wtf.. the only player who has actually done shit is Piatek and he fell off towards the end of the seasom. He needs to prove he can repeat his goalscoring record this season. Icardi is miles ahead. Paqueta is trash, Bennacer can end up being vecino and theo hernandez was shopped out of madrid for a good reason.

I’d take Romagnoli or Donnarumma, but Piatek + 40 million like you mentioned wouldn’t be a bad deal simply because I’d rather that than 40m + Milik

Franck Ribery is flying to Italy on a private jet to sign for Fiorentina on a free transfer. Gianluca Di Marzio reports a deal for the 36-year-old was finally rubber-stamped on Tuesday evening. He is expected to sign a two-year contract with the Tuscan club, earning a salary of €4m plus €500,000 in bonuses.
