Godin, Biraghi, Valero, 5-good-games-Sensi, mr. 0 goal Politano (seriously?) could hardly be relied upon as 'full time starters in 19' either. So not sure how they were 'inter calibre'.

Fact remains that Inzaghi inherited a much better team than Conte did in 2019. The 19' team required much more work put into it to change the tactical approach and mentality from Spallettis Inter, not to mention integrate new players. The quality of the team has gone up significantly since 19' as players have developed and matured + stuck to much of the same tactical approach that Conte implemented. This alo means that new players need to perform at a higher level compared to 19', players like Dzeko, Correa, Vidal and Di Marco would probably have been of great benefit to the 19' team, because the quality of that team was significantly lower.

In this second season, Inzaghi will have to do alot more to put his own tactical imprint on the team and in that regard i agree that it sad he cant really have any money to work with.

I think both managers did their job, but sure Inzaghi has had little easier than Conte for his first season. Don’t get me wrong it was not easy for Inzaghi too as it was grazy summer after scudetto to Eriksen drama to Conte left and had to sell Hakimi and Lukaku…

But sure Conte past (ex Juve) had influence and made some more pressure to him.

Also whole system change from 4 at back to 3 at back took time with players to cope and Conte to get to know his team.

Inzaghi inherited good mature players with mutch more experience than when Conte came to Inter and Simone used almost same system where most of our players already was familiar. I think it was good job from Marotta to bring Inzaghi to replace Conte!

————————————————————————————————————

”Sure, he helped some players progress, that's a given, but he's also ruined a few. Like Godin and Asamoah. And tried to ruin Eriksen and Skriniar as well..”

Are you serious? Conte tried to ruin Eriksen and Skriniar?

Eriksen own toughts…

Asked why it took so long to settle under Conte, Eriksen told Gazzetta dello Sport today: “I arrived at Inter with an open mind to learn.

What I didn’t understand at the start is that I always had to follow Conte’s system, that I had to remember and execute all the moves he’d prepared for the team.

Beforehand, I was more used to playing on intuition, I was free to make decisions in a split second based on what I saw on the pitch.

“But with Conte there’s always a general plan to follow; you must be prepared, always know where your teammates are and where they could move.

“I had to learn all of this and adapt to a different tempo.

“He is extremely important for everyone, also for the way we play,” Eriksen argued.

“We follow his instructions to the letter and you can see it on the pitch.

Skriniar own thoughts

It marked his 32nd consecutive league appearance and in an interview with Italian television broadcaster DAZN after the final whistle, Skriniar insisted that there had never been issues with Conte.

“I’ve never had any problems with Conte, I’ve always had a good relationship with him. I needed time to get used to the three-man defence, I’m happy to help the team push on. We must continue like this to get to the objective we all want,” Skriniar declared.

———————————————————————————————————

I know you have taken strong stance against Conte and Marrotta and their agenda to ”sabotage” Inter? As I see things, if this was the case Marotta and Conte have failed miserably in their attemp…

Runners up, europa league final, and scudetto with Conte. Runner up, coppa italia and supercoppa titles with Inzaghi…

Marotta and Conte made some mistakes too as did Inzaghi… But of course everybody make mistakes, Marotta, Ausilio, Conte, Inzaghi, Icardi, Radja, me… I’m not sure about you? As I see makin mistakes is where the learning happens and when you can grow… It just Marotta and Conte makes fewer mistakes than many others and when they do they are good at changing things. Thats why they are so successful!

It’s just tiring to read these lies/false assumptions week after week… I try to stay at the truth? Changing my opinion is one of my greatest stenghts… I can admid if I was wrong and evaluate things again…

Who knows I might be wrong…?

you should take the approach that you’re wrong. Your goal is to be less wrong” -Elon Musk

Where on earth did you get this nonsense about some agenda of Marotta and Conte to destroy the club?

All I said was that Conte was not welcome and that I don't rate Marotta as high as others do....

I rate Marotta higher now, especially now after two seasons of trophies, can't say he isn't doing good with what he has.

BUT

I will cry bear tears if he keeps getting old players here for hefty wages. Why not bring a youngster back if need to keep wages 'low' and if we only target a top4 finish? I'm pretty sure we have a player or two out there that could be better options for us than Vecino (Agoume???)

Yeap. Initially it was a rumour (early-mid December) and then he sort of informed some of the players' agents to start looking for new clubs during the winter break (early January), while he said to others the business way of "you're fucked" by saying the key words 'we will evaluate the situation in the summer'. Essentially the only 100% safe ones were Icardi, Handanovic, Skriniar, de Vrij, Lautaro and Brozovic, while Politano was informed that the club wants to redeem him. And that list included Spalletti. So you can see how easy it was to destroy whatever morale was left and the locker room. The situation seems worse than the Pioli era where the team pretty much fucked the season up to avoid the EL qualifiers. This team has nothing to play for and they're not a united bunch anymore. It's all up to Spalletti to create a unit out of these guys but he seems incapable.

Michael posted an article by Gazzetta about this recently. It really didn't leak to the media - Marotta is quite good at that shit - until it was too evident that something was wrong.

Not sure if Marotta is just an asshole or if he thought that this 'strategy' would force the players to overperform in order to find better deals at good enough clubs.

Other writers pushed back and you replied…

——————
Okay, Marotta didn't do shit. You are right.

The players just woke up one day and decided to hand in transfer requests, make drunken audio calls and generally not give a fuck because they are ungrateful morons.

God bless Marotta. Let's hire Conte as well so that these FIFA generation fans can be happy with their new video game.

Once more, feel free to believe whatever the fuck you want.

——————

I didn't mention this now but I had in the past when it happened.

Marotta essentially created the disharmony in the locker room. He created a group of expendables and a group of uncertainties. You can argue that there were factions already, but what Marotta orchestrated those days really created a violent tension that was unprecedented in our team. It was not the right time and definitely not the right group of people to treat that way.

I did not see him trying to fix a situation or try to appease it. I did agree with his purge list, but it wasn't something that should have leaked to players, agents and journalists.

That is when the shit really hit the fan and that was right after thr Napoli game. Sure we had a bad spell, but please tell me how our squad and overall morale was ever since the turn of the year.

——————

Posts like these made me think, that you think Marotta only came here to cause chaos and sabotage to this club? These posts was from 2019 where you are hinting Marotta ruined team harmony and you have continued this narrative ever since…

Also you dismantle everything Marotta has achieved along with Conte… Maybe I read your narrative wrong?

I remember that those was crazy times and our managment had lost command to Icardi-Wanda-Brozo drama, Icardi-Radja fight, Radja drunk, Perisic wanted to escape… we needed clear out and Marotta was right to clear the rotten apples and show who is in charge #interballs… we have now seen that we have had professional and united team that can fight for tittles… of course Suning got fucked with Covid and with the communist!

So because what happened under Marotta could fall under some dodgy concept it means that this is what I said?
That's what your brain processed following that, not me, so don't put your subconscious into my posts, please.

With Perisic leaving, the squad is already weakened before the summer transfer market

This guy should go straight to LGI if he manage to win Scudetto with our current financial situation

Rather than asking Limone to raise his level and step up to the ambitions of being at a bigger club, we're bringing the level and ambitions of the club down to match his old club.
