He is quite perfect indeed. Despite all that he brings in trophies. Not yet Scudetto, but if he's given SOMETHING in the summer, I think we can do it next season for sure. While competing at CL simultaneously.
Other coaches in his situation (championship contenders + deep CL run) don't have just 13 reliable outfield players for the rotation.

I know his rotation isn't ideal, but if we had a proper backing and ambitious owners, we'd be seeking to replace Gagliardini with Milinkovic-Savic, Skriniar with Scalvini, Lukaku with Hojlund, Dzeko with Firmino, Asllani with Frattesi, Bellanova with Lazzari and D'Ambrosio with someone like Bensebaini.

Ironically, apart from some transfer fees, our salary budget wouldn't necessarily increase here. Or at least by much.

But in our situtaion we'll be lucky if none of our current core doesn't regress (age + fitness concerns) and if we add at most 1 extra reliable player in the rotation. Yet expectations would remain the same. Scudetto challenge and deep run in Europe.

Overarchieve or underarchieve doesn't matter. History is history. People will remember that forever like Roma two times 0-7, not given a shit they were quarters or semis or excuses how strong ManU was or whatever.
People will remember what they can or want to remember. Doesn't change the fact that Inzaghi has overachieved by reaching the final.

If we win, some people will remember how Simone miraculously led us to CL victory despite all the financial trouble we had and some people will remember how "lucky" we were lol

None of us will care about that if we win. The others will seethe, but it's so insignificant and pathetic that it doesn't matter.

That's why I did say he has a good season. I am not asking for a win. But avoid a heavy defeat.

You and your pro-Inzaghi do not mind when we lose 0-10. I do mind. We are Inter, have to show a fight, not losers Roma to accept whatever the loss is.

Not that I think he would though. It is just you're too sensitive to focus on every slight words not in his favor to farm for likes

No matter how much we lose, it will be in CL final and against club with unlimited budget with roster that is twice or more expensive than ours. For me, humiliation is losing against Barca B or failing to beat friggin Shaktar at home which caused exit in group stage. Thats what I called being loser. It sucks that some people here are still trying to diminish this achievement. I also wanted friggin Limone out after we sucked last March. But cmon, he won another Coppa, we finished top 4 and we got to the final of CL(!!) , wtf do you want from this guy? 4th coach in our history to do that and its not good enough?? Lol

You don't know what I mind or don't mind. All I wanted to say by replying to you was to say do not get your hopes up for seeing an Inzaghi-less Inter next season based on the final's result.

Btw, Inter managed to reach the CL final, win the Coppa Italia and secure a CL spot for the next season without playing shit football that you kept promoting. So condolences to you for being wrong on that.

No, you started with this post. If we lose heavily in final it would mean we are losers. You meant that. Guess what, you are wrong. Tell this to beelan fans. Or rube or Napoli. Everyone of them would swap with us right now. Everyone wants to be in that final. How many times we reached CL final in our history? I dont care how it ends but lets hope for the best. I wont call our players or coach losers if they demolish us. Right now they are heroes to me, no matter how ends in final. We have 13, 14 friggin competitive players, and they made it to the end, for me that is a massive, not good, but massive achievement. In a season where instead winter break we had friggin World cup. How many games did they play this season? In March this season looked so bad. But they managed to turneover it. These guys are heroes in my book. After we fucked beelan in semis it sealed the deal for me.

Now I get your point. Ah again you are mixing CL and Serie A again to excuse for Inzaghi 12 losses in Serie A and claiming some false impression on me that I want him to be sacked :yao:

His football is not sustainable in a long marathon run. But works great for Champions League. That was what I always said. Where was the wrong? If our LEAGUE points tally is totally satisfactory on your view, next season feel free to continue to fall behind Napoli and fucking Lazio in your ranking table and enjoying Copa as if a plastic Scudetto.

I am not satisfied with our league points or 12 losses at all. But several factors played a part in our league's form beyond "it's the coach and his unsustainable football" factor. You only lingered on that one, I didn't.

Napoli was unreachable this season. We could be a better competitor to them but we made too many mistakes for that. It's easy to always blame the coach, but our problems were way more than that.

So I agree Napoli was not going to be beaten this season but I would liked to have been closer. In this season our points total was good enough but in many seasons in history it would not have been good enough, and we'd be without CL next season. Of course you can only ever be good enough for the situation you find yourself in, and against that acid test he has passed the requirements. That's what terrifies me tbh

Inzaghi can win the Scudetto if he's given proper depth. And he can contest in CL at the same time. If the summer isn't ruined with mercato and renewal BS, we can build from where we ended this season and continue from there.

It depends though. I do care about what happens in the final. If we try our best and still lose I would still call this campaign successful. In that case no humiliation is there to debate. If Inzaghi does some stupid decision like starting Gags or giving Handa the last swan song, and get thrashed by City, I would never forgive him. Simple as that.

LOL what is it that makes his football not sustainable in a long marathon? Also wtf is that supposed to mean again we play the max amount of games possible this year and we are currently playing quite well.....
Please explain what makes his football non sustainable? Not like he s a zeman or a bielsa who plays a style that is just way out there...
If anything his current squad is not good enough to compete in 3 competitions..

Please explain why this is not sustainable? What is it fitness? Man management? A bit of everything?

History record. There must be a reason he is the only coach in Serie A top6 never wins a Scudetto. There is a common pattern, stomping Serie A teams for fun for a while, but losing minors too much. Then it's too late.

Scudetto winners must always have good defense first. Then offense balance after. Inzaghi sacrifices too much the 1st for the 2nd and it works only in CL.

Again, he will prove me wrong as soon as he wins the league. Not yet up to now.
