Chile is the team to beat still. Even tho Peru lost they look really really good. That Carillo kid we are linked to was doing great today thankfully Peru didn't have a target man up top

Congrats to Ecuador can not give them enough thumbs up. They went to Argentina show'd major balls and attacked the whole game and played them one on one. I shit on them a lot because they have been historically a shit team away but under the new coach I loved what I saw. Saying that Aguero got hurt early or they don't have Messi isn't enough. Look at Argentina's 2nd string. That is a team good enough to qualify anywhere. Out of all the games and teams they shocked me the most. Chile and Colombia just did what they needed to do and that was win at home. Uruguay beat the worst team in the continent. Ecuador beat the best team who hadn't lost in over 23 years. Mind blown.

Still super early but excited to see the 2nd round. Hope Colombia can beat Uruguay in Montevideo. No Cavani + Suarez v no James away....

So, hopefully another win tomorrow against Paraguay to set us comfortably at the top however, this round could prove tricky. Miller Bolaños is out with a broken jaw, Valencia basically hasn't played football since October, same as Montero and to a lesser extent Paredes. Seems like PL is proving a difficult task for these guys :/ As for the rest, Caicedo, who was doing very well in Spain, is out injured again. The result is Enner Valencia having to be rushed back to the setup alongside a thankfully in-form Cazares.

This may sound cocky but there's no chance Paraguay gets 3 point in Quito. No way. Now, against Colombia away I'd take a point and run

Well Paraguay is good in the altitude. Think only Chile is the only other team that altitude doesn't really hurt that much. Ecuador is so ahead of everyone that really these 2 games don't matter. I don't know what's happened under their new coach but they are a awesome attacking team to watch.

Hope Uruguay beats Brazil and then we beat them. I want those diving bitches to miss their date in Russia!!

Peru, Bolivia and Venezuela are already eliminated. Mathematically they have a shot but in reality none. Peru has 4 points. They are 6 points from Colombia who are 5th, 6th and 7th place has 9. So 5 from
Them. They need 3 teams to lose 3 games and a bunch of other crazy results to have a shot at 5th.
