Seems like you guys are getting it together. If nothing else Xavi at least looks like a good fit and something to build on with such a young team. Auba looked like a weird signing and Traore wasn’t even a sure starter for Wolves but so far they’ve been very good. Sometimes teams just need a shake up to boost the confidence and morale, those guys won’t be there long term if Barca wants to get back to their level but they don’t need to be. They are playing their role in helping the younger kids grow.
Will sound like a broken record but I have repeatedly said you have to have many factors working in your favor for a club to win. We have a President who is focused on both the financial & sporting aspects over a crook like Bartomeu with high aspirations for success for both criteria, a coach who understands the club & our playing style and players who buy into it. For me, Laporta was clear as he may be many things but he loves the club and is determined to see it reach those heights again...even without Leo
Xavi is a Cruyff & Pep disciple and I had zero doubts he would be the perfect coach for Barca as he was a coach on the pitch like Guardiola in his day. At Barca, the pivote understands the overall play much like a Point Guard in basketball - they are the orchestrator and Xavi is as addicted to it as Pep
More than goals & winning, cules want to be entertained and for that, we are in great hands for the foreseeable future
