lol, of course you need experienced players, but with players like Crisetig and Murillo, that are young and have lower wages, we save a lot on money instead of buying a new DM for 10mil who only has 2 years tops to offer us. In our position, money-wise, I would expect that we would look into bringing a mix of experienced and young talent to our squad, but first we need to get rid of the fodder like Schelotto to have space for the young talents that might be starters in about 2,3 years.

But I'm definately sure that Crisetig, Murillo and Icardi are experienced enough to start for us already. See, that's already 3 young players. And Santon and JJ aren't really old either.

Considering Gnoukouri is a starter currently then Crisetig surely should be in consideration.

congrats for your attitude JoJo :proud:

That has to give him a huge boost in confidence, hope he can reach his potential with us.

He already had confidence when getting here, he said he was playing good in EPL but coach didn't play him! His mental strength will enable reach his potential. Great transfer for that kind of money, let's all pray he stays healthy!

Interview in GdS. Don't have time to do all the fancy graphics but this will do. :)

"The day that I learned I was excluded from the Champions League by Pellegrini, I decided to leave City. I do not want any controversy but now I want to take us there, to the Champions League.

"My first goal in Serie A was also against Atalanta but in the Viola shirt. We won 2-1. It is a nice coincidence.

"The number 10? First off, I want to say that leaving Inter is my friend: Mateo. Well... the day his transfer to Real Madrid became official, it occurred to me something that I never, ever, would have dared to do in my life. My beloved shirt has always been the number 8 of Mijatovic and Savicevic when I was little. Or the number 35 that I had in Partizan and of course the one for my start here at Inter. But that day, I decided to try it, I asked the Team Manager, the Club Manager (Stankovic) and Javier Zanetti on the possibility of changing the shirt. The number 10 was free, can I have it? They gave it to me. A dream.

"When I was more or less 10 years old, I played on the street of Podgorica. Every so often, you would hear siren, not the whistle from the referee but the signal of bombing going on in Montenegro and also my city. And so, we ran inside a house and collectively we prayed. Those bombs were from NATO and let say that when you grew up in those situations, you are less and less afraid of anything.

"I have matured a bit in past years. I worked on my mental health and learned a lot from the champions that I met at City and also from my mistakes. Temperamentally, I became calmer especially in those situations in front of the goal. Yes, years ago, in Florence, I said that I needed to be cold in front of goals. I've grown and found confidence.

"Icardi will not be there (vs. Carpi) but up front, I can and am willing to do everything. All the roles. If you ask me what my ideal position is, well, it is a second striker position.

"Mancini and Ausilio phoned me to explain the project and what they had in mind, for Inter and for me. It took me a second to decide: Inter were the team for me. And right now I know that I am at the best club in my career because there is no doubt that it is one of the strongest and most important in Europe. They tried for me in 2007, and then 2-3 years ago. Even my days in Florence. Basically I heard from Inter a lot.

"Was I close to join Juventus? I never said that I was close to Juve years ago. You know why? Because I wanted to prove myself to others, because the decision was changed: Premier League really fascinated me.

"I want to thank the club (City), fans, everyone. Except Pellegrini? No no, no controversy. If I meet him, I will say hello of course because I needed this experience. I do not know why I was not playing. I did not receive an explanation. One day I asked him to play me for 3-4 straight matches, it did not happen. Even when I scored in some games, the ones after, I did not play. It was not about my physical problems, I did not play even when I was well. It seems that 'Jovetic is always hurt' has become a thing we all say. Enough with this story.

"Reinforcements? I do read the newspaper (laughs). Have I called my friend Ljajic? No. Perisic? Good, very good. We are reinforcing a team that is already strong."

jovetic's opener is something that we dont want to lose - and its gonna be important to keep him playing near the opponent's defensive line. dropping him back on a LW position might lose that.

Interesting challenge, with Jovetic playing well, and who knows on Icardi, what decision do you make going forward. Clearly a 4-2-3-1 supports itself, but if we stick to a 4-3-1-2..

Again, why do you think we're going to use a 4231 with Jovetic on the wing? Mancini mostly used a 4411 with Aguero, Dzeko, Balotelli and Tevez rotating for the 2 spots up front. If anyone is going to play on the wing, it's Palacio.

If it's a 433, I'm sure he'll have a more central role than Perisic.

I think he's going to play on the wing for a 4-3-3 and he's going to give Jovetic & Perisic all the freedom in the world to cut inside and create up there. Jojo will probably cut inside more while Perisic will take cross from the line, which I'm fine with.

But playing a 4-4-2 would be so stupid IMO. I'd rather not depend on Palacio's legs to keep up with anybody.
