Yes, it's much better to spend 70M on TWO players, than spend them on 7 mediocre pieces of shit like we did the last 32794790 years to abysmal results.

Fiorentina close in on complicated Jovetic deal

A deal for the Montenegrin forward is not a simple one but he does look likely to end up back in Florence

A Fiorentina return is close to completion for Stevan Jovetic, who failed to have the impact he had hoped at Inter last season.

The Montenegrin has agreed to the move as has Viola coach Paulo Sousa and the Tuscan outfit may now allow Giuseppe Rossi to leave before the transfer window closes, with Celta Vigo interested.

However, there are some small financial details which still need to be ironed out before a deal can be completed, with Fiorentina struggling to match the €7 million wages that the striker earned at Manchester City and the €17m fee which the Citizens would require to allow him to leave.

With the Gigliati unable to afford such an investment, Jovetic’s agent held a lengthy discussion with Inter sporting director Piero Ausilio and Fiorentina counterpart Pantaleo Corvino in order to attempt to pull off a deal.

It is believed that Inter will pay half of Jovetic’s salary at the Stadio Artemio Franchi with the Viola paying the other half and the 26-year-old perhaps being forced to take a small hit on his wages.

The problem remains the €17m that is owed to Manchester City in order to sever his ties with the Premier League club with one possible scenario seeing Fiorentina and Inter divide that fee between them.

We dont want to pay because of FFP,right?Or are we not rich?

This is a stupid move imo.He was stellar for Fiorentina and there is every chance he will rediscover that form with them.I do not think he was a success last season but he did enough to merit another chance to succeed with us this season. The talent is definitely there.I had put his and Ljajic's troubles last season down to Mancini's tactics.

I thought Fiorentina would pay for all his salary and all of the fee to Manchester City. Us paying for half of it is pretty stupid.

WTF? Have we become a charity now?!

Fuck Fiorentina. If they cannot pay the fees/wages in full, give us someone like Valero, Alonso or Badelj as a part swap.

Not even called for the Palermo match. His sale must be imminent.

Kinda sad to see him go, what he could have been and could have done with us.

But more sad about Ljajic than him, Jovetic really didn't play too well last season, way too much turnover in possession and hesitant in doing anything. I don't blame him though, there was no game consistency and yet he still delivered 7 goals and a pretty decent goal per minute ratio considering he was benched for no reason half the time.

I really like him as a player, he would be very useful for us but with formations that Frank wants to play there isnt really space for him, he is at his best when playing as support striker ...i bet Jovetić will be great at Fiorentina next to Kalinić

Good luck jojo!

Why Inter does business with those cunts after what they to us in the Salah deal.
New management/ownership, perhaps they forgot?! Or they wanna start a new page in their relationshiT?

Either way, I would NOT sell to a rival for the SAME amount.

WTF is this shit paying for [half] of his wage?! :palm: I hope they are not THAT retarded...

The deal seems in free fall as Fiora wants us to pay part of his wages and we are ok with that only if they agree to an oblig buy next season but they only want a straight loan and nothing more

Della V can suck BigDong's big dong and choke on it tbh

Gianluca Di Marzio gives updates from the now complete meeting between Pantaleo Corvino and Piero Ausilio over Stevan Jovetic. The deal doesn’t have closure yet but there is optimism that a deal can still be completed by Wednesday when the mercato shuts. Fiorentina would like the loan fee lowered or for Inter to keep part of his wages on their books but it is unknown how Inter feel about this currently.

Hopefully he stays so he gets a chance to prove that he's a better option than Eder and Grandpalacio.

Okay, if we're going to have to beg on our hands and knees to get Fiorentina to take him, why not just loan Eder back to Sampdoria and accomplish the same objective?

Just call the deal off now. If Fiore want Jovetic they need to pay. We're not a charity to give him for free.
What's the point of this deal? We're gonna pay the obligation to City for a player we won't have and even pay half of his salary as well?
This is a really retarted deal even by our management standards.

Yeah, what the fuck really? They want a free loan and then can't even pay the salary? Why couldn't we just keep this guy? We basically is gonna replace him with G. Barbosa whose salary is close to the same, but he's 20y kid with no exp from euro football. And transfer fee doubled vs Jovetic.

We have to pay City that redemption transfer fee so it's fucking wonderful to first pay that and them put Jovetic away for nothing. And then Corvino the fuckface can't even pay the whole salary.

Sometimes you wonder wtf is going on. This is one of those times.

What the hell. Fiorentina was classless for blocking our Salah move... who went on to Roma anyways. Now we're giving Jovetic on a free loan? We are a gentlemanly club but we shouldn't have them mistake our generosity for weakness. This is a travesty, and now we have the Chinese behind our back. The management should really reconsider its move to avoid a fiasco that has been occurring ever since the Treble.
