I dont think I said anything about any of that. But (IIRC, it was a while ago), I said Chelsea were far more likely to win the CL within hte next 5 years than Inter were, and that was met by certain members with outrage and complete disagreement :)

Don't recall being one of them, but cannot rule it out :D Depends when you said it.

I cant remember, thus trying to find the post tbh. It's also possible I was talking about another teama, but have retconned it to Chelsea. I've dug through search a bit but no joy, so maybe its lost to history :)

Inter will play in the Florida cup from July 25th-28th with Arsenal, Everton and Millonarios (Colombia).

its a preseason tournament, so I expect us to win, even if Samuel Longo shows up in our attack. We are made for this tournaments.

Nice that’s only an hour and a half away from me so I’ll definitely be there.

Not sure this is the right place, but didn't want to post it in the Euro 2020 thread.

Why wasn't a single Italian Inter player called up during the Euro 1996? We had good players in the preceding season. All of them injured or something? Thought the older members here might know.

Arrigo Sacchi being Arrigo Sacchi.
Check the 1994 squad as well.

That can't possibly be true right? Not calling up names like Pagliuca and Bergomi for no valid reason? Must have been perceived as fking scandalous by the public and the media back then - especially since they didn't even make it past the group stage in 1996.

OFFICIAL: INTER FAN OWNERSHIP PROJECT BEGINS

Italian economist and Inter supporter Carlo Cottarelli has officially launched a project that will allow Inter fans to buy shares in the club: ‘We are here to help.’

Cottarelli, a former director of the International Monetary Fund, and other famous Inter fans could buy shares in the club by the end of the month through the economist’s company Interspac srl.

An online survey for Inter fans will be launched on Friday, June 25 and a list of new shareholders will be announced by the end of the month.

“We want to develop a fan shareholding project,” Cottarelli said.

“We want to strengthen Inter with capitals integrated by institutional investor resources. It already happens in other glorious clubs such as Bayern Munich. We want to work closely with Inter ownership, which has been informed about our project.

“Our only desire is to help the club, we are grateful to President Zhang for bringing Inter back to the top.

“The first step will be a symbolic one. By the end of June, a group of famous Inter fans will enter Interspace srl. Athletes, actors, musicians, TV hosts will help us to make the project known.

“Then we’ll launch a survey. We have instructed IQUII and its Sport Intelligence Unit to conduct an in-depth study of this issue. We will publish a survey on social media to understand what Inter fans think about popular shareholding.

“If, as we think, there will be enough interest from all the parties involved, we’ll request the necessary authorizations to the competent bodies to collect the resources from fans and other people interested. This will require several months, even if the timing will depend on the technical details of the operation.

“This model could be valid for other Serie A clubs as well. We’ll organize a public meeting in Milan at the end of September, inviting Interspac shareholders and prominent Italian and international football personalities. At that point, we’ll be ready to start.”

How would that work with our current shareholders though. Wouldn't someone need to be booted?

Zhangs would need to sell part of their shares so this InterSPAC would get one guy to Inter board (wouldn't make much sense otherwise).

What I don't get is what would be the incentive for Zhang to sell? InterSPAC can maybe gather the money to buy some small portion of the shares but owners are responsible to cover the losses the company makes. InterSPAC (Inter fans) don't have money for that shit.

GdS - Inter Chief Commercial Officer, Jaime Colas Rubio, is leaving the club. He arrived in 2019 from Real Madrid where he was in charge of sponsorships.
He probably got sacked for that embarrassing crypto company major sponsorship.
