Are you sure about that? Cause how Reuters reported it oaktree bought out LionRocks share(i also dont think they have a seat in the board any more ). So how I understood it Lionrock has no say in this whole matter any more and they cant recall any thing.

On the rest your correct.

Here is the reuters article: https://www.reuters.com/lifestyle/s...-milan-336-million-financing-deal-2021-05-19/
Tbh, I'm not entirely sure as there are contradicting statements by other papers. Reuters reported what a source told them, but imho it doesn't make sense. That means Oaktree purchased Lionrock's shares off them, and then proceeded to loan the club more money, but that would involve Lionrock agreeing to sell.

I'm trying to find something, anything on this deal, but haven't found a single thing.

Il Sole 24 Ore via Calciomercato details how Goldman Sachs and financial advisor Rain Group have been evaluating a number of potential investors in the Nerazzurri. This is not seemingly a search for new owners, but instead for minority shareholders.
This sounds like old news.

In the meantime, Zhang is working on tackling the Oaktree problem. The Inter president is also dealing with angry creditors like the China Construction Bank Corporation, who want €300m from him.

The Oaktree loan expires in May 2024 – €275m including interest – and failing to pay this could lead to serious ramifications for Zhang and Inter.

The Nerazzurri president is hoping to refinance the loan with Oaktree, using the unexpected resources generated from their run to the Champions League final last season. In the club’s 2022-23 budget, they only accounted for UEFA revenues until the Round of 16, so massively exceeded expectations.

Zhang’s idea is to pay off the interest with Oaktree and extend the loan for a few more years, giving him and Suning more time to resolve their delicate financial position.
Good luck

I remember the sum they need to pay back is 350m meaning the interest would be 75m.

Pretty sure interest is much higher than it was 2 years ago

I am getting close to 7% in my brokerage account.some companies are giving close to 9-10% when the bond discount is in place. So unless they are going to pay credit card interest rates I don’t get how they will get a new loan

Yeah I don't get it either. What is the thing making it even remotely reasonable for Zhangs trying to refinance that loan with a new one.
