Don't have one.
Lazaro and dalbert, 40 mil down the drain :rollani:
Atrocious decisions when it comes to buying wide players in defense, and for years now.

More like 20 years. Especially on the left. Gresko. Pasquale. Coco. Favalli. Grosso. Wome. Pereira. Ansaldi. Nagatomo. Erkin. On the right we were gifted first with Zanetti and then with Maicon but even in that position we managed to have some gems. Simic. Helveg. Montoya. Jonathan. Wallace.

Inter midfielder Valentino Lazaro returns to Germany, as Borussia Mönchengladbach have signed the player on loan with an option to buy.

Sky Sport Italia journalist Gianluca Di Marzio reveals the 24-year-old, who recently returned from a loan spell at Newcastle in the Premier League, is set for a move to Gladbach.

The Austria international, who only played 11 games with the Nerazzurri, will undergo the required medical checks tomorrow and then sign with the Bundesliga side.

Lazaro arrived for €22.4m from Hertha Berlin last summer but the former RB Salzburg man never managed to convince coach Antonio Conte.

SportItalia journalist Alfredo Pedulla reveals that Gladbach have an option to buy the player for just over €20m next summer. :eek:kay:

"Conte is the man who finally convinced me to come to Milan. He absolutely wanted me and made that clear to me in advance in many phone calls. Conte is a world-class coach, meticulous and a lover of tactics, who takes his players and teams to another level.”
No need to defend Conte, he was Conte's pick.

But as Rockball said, he was the only signing that is a complete dud. It just sucks that we are stuck with him with the infamous loan and option to buy blackhole.

Haha, hmm I'm still not convinced...

Only joking. Can't believe he didn't choose his boy moses at thag time. Wish he did

should have given them an option for 15M.. there's no way Mönchengladbach pays more than 20M for him. Well, except if he scores 15 goals and has 15 assists, but good luck with that.

I really don't get this deal. If we were willing to accept another loan, why didn't we simply let him stay at Newcastle for one more season where the market is much bigger? Even if he impresses at Gladbach, the chances of a German team spending 20m for Lazaro are minimal.

How do you know the market is much bigger in England? If Marotta has seen Premier League pace didn't suit him (which was true), one more year won't change anything. Better to try another environment, at least Bundesliga was where Lazaro tricked us buying him.

Might be Lazaro didn't want to stay at Newcastle because he didn't get that much playing time there to be honest. Interesting to see how's the situation with Gladbach as he has talked about playing time almost every case when I've seen interview transcript from him.

VALENTINO LAZARO LOANED OUT TO BORUSSIA MÖNCHENGLADBACH
The Austrian wide-man has signed for the German club on a paid loan
20/08/2020
MILAN - FC Internazionale Milano announce the departure of Valentino Lazaro to Borussia Mönchengladbach on a paid loan until 30 June 2021. :boogy:

The Austrian arrived from Hertha Berlin last summer and returns to the German Bundesliga after a stint on loan at Newcastle in the second half of 2019-20.

“The 24-year-old Austria international, who played professionally with RB Salzburg, Hertha Berlin, Inter and Newcastle United, completed the medical tests at Borussia-Park on Tuesday and joined the retreat at Hotel Klosterpforte in Harsewinkel,” a statement read.

Sporting director Max Eberl added: “We are very happy that the loan went through and that Tino has chosen Borussia. He’s a very flexible player who will give our team even more quality and depth.”

Lazaro wrote on social media: “I can’t wait to play in the Bundesliga and the Champions League with this fantastic club.

“Inter fans: thanks for your messages. I was pleased to receive them all, but I decided to play next season in Germany. I wish you good luck for the Europa League Final and for next season.

Welcome back next summer.

Had some comments from Gladbach follower(s) and they consider Lainer the starting RB and don't believe Lazaro could take that spot. But RW spot is possibly one for Lazaro to steal for himself. Let's hope he sets the Bundesliga on fire out there and steals that RW spots and produces good stats.

I'm optimistic that he will do very well because I still see a good player somewhere in those dreadlocks, so in reality he'll probably have 4 apps in the whole season 3 of them as a sub.

I sincerely hope Rose sees him as a winger and he wants him to challenge Hermann on the right. If he sees him as a rb I am afraid he won't get much playing time. I can't see him benching Lainer.

This deal is terrible :palm: by buying him 23m in the first place.

In Germany, Bild reports the definitive figures of the deal between the two clubs. In particular, the loan will cost the German company 1.2 million euros, while the eventual redemption 13.8 million. So, a new chance in the Bundesliga for the Austrian side, looking for a personal revenge after the not too exciting experiences in the Nerazzurri and with Newcastle in the second half of last season.

The new Joao Mario. Paid too much for hyped player, and now we cannot offload him. Loan after loan, till his contract ends. And we didnt even manage to offload Joao Mario.
