I know what you mean, I do not think it's that big of a next gen step, but you are talking out of your ass. The fidelity, texture quality, is on another level, not just loading.
If you played PS5 games, not PS4 games that were ported to PS5 -> so Demon's Souls Remake, Returnal or Rift Apart - you would see that those games wouldn't even work on PS4 or PS4Pro. On a 4K tv it's really obvious.
Now some people maybe wanted to see a bigger jump in everything, but for a 2020 400$/500$ console it's quite strong, let's see what happens when PS5 exclusive UE5 games come in. The industry is more obsessed with 60fps modes than big graphical leaps, but you have to be blind if you think Returnal would ever work on PS4.
