So I told myself I wouldn't get Fifa this year but Black Friday came and my wife got one hell of an iPhone plan deal which came with free 100$gc and she used it to buy Fifa. My wife has resented me playing Fifa for years and the one time I decided not to buy it, she bought it for me lol. Anyway, started playing Season as I don't wanna get into FUT and Goddamn, I think this is the best Inter squad I've played with in years. I'm having a lot of fun.

Oh btw, I should have expected it but Season is basically a cesspool full of players exclusively using PSG and City

I got my Steam deck the day before the winter sale started, also put on some emulators (the games flow well on the home screen with my steam games, looks great).

So far I've purchased Persona 5 Royal and Ride 4. I put Persona off for years because I wasn't sure if I would like it and I have been sick to death of the OST for years now. I'm liking the game a lot so far, beat the first palace, and now it seems like I'm getting more freedom after 8 hours of gameplay. It's fun I just wonder if I'll actually get to the end or get bored halfway.

Looking for other game recommendations while the sale goes on. I have Witcher 3 on PS4 but I'll probably get it on PC now that it's $11 for the complete next-gen version. I'm thinking God of War would be cool to get but I haven't played any of the other games in the series.

The next-gen version of Witcher 3 on PC introduced many problems like stuttering and crashes. I'm sure they will fix it with patches, but you might want to spend your time on something else for the time being.

Finished God of war ragnarok over the Christmas break, loved it. Started a bit slow IMO and some filler, but gets good. One of the very rare games that I'm still playing even after finishing it

Like I said before gow series are the only reason why I bought PS2 and then PS3 back in the time. I didn't like the 2018 and ragnarok games as much as I loved the original series.

Especially Ragnarök is 50% cutscenes ,30% identical boring side quests and the rest is normal gameplay ,but I have to admit that the story of the game is amazing. I think Ragnarök is more like a high-budget animated movie with a good script than a game.

I loved the cut scenes in the story though lol the side quests I don't mind but I'm loving fighting the beserkers and the muselpheim to however its spelt challenges.

I never played the originals. I doubt they'd hold up well today. Hopefully they remaster them.

I haven't played it yet my wife got it for my for X-mas but haven't even opened it. We got the Lego Dr Strange Sactum and been building that instead haha

I just can't deal with watching 2-3 hours of cut scenes when I have 30-40 minutes tops to play a video game.

You can buy God of War 3 on PSN, usually it's pretty cheap. The first 2 hours of that game are still probably the most bonkers first 2 hours in any game ever.

Has good puzzles, good fighting, the story is just revenge, but it's fun nonetheless.

You don't have to play the original God of War games to enjoy and understand the latest two games.

And if you would be confused for any reason, there are enough youtube videos that explain everything in a few minutes.

If you love stories in games, it's a must play. Don't be like crzd that doesn't know God of war has manual saving aystem. I also only played an hour when I could and I only finished Ragnarok yesterday. I thought it was better than the 2018 game in everything except story, expected the ending confrontation to be longer, but other than that, what a blast.

Been enjoying hogwarts legacy on PC. It's actually quite good compared to most games based on movie franchises.

It's more book franchise, but yeah, Hogwarts itself does look the same as the movie counterpart.

WarnerBros weirdly does big franchises pretty well (well they pay for them, not develop them, but still) - their track record is Hogwarts Legacy, Injustice 1/2, Mad Max, Arkham series, Shadow of War/Mordor, Mortal Kombat - which are all 4 out of 5 games.

I'm currently playing Death's Door, which is basically a isometric Zelda game with some Dark Souls mechanics. It's fun.

Played Diablo 4 this weekend and it's very enjoyable, it surprised me how smooth it runs on my 5 year old PC, for example Lost Ark was stuttering, lagging like crazy, in Diablo besides little lag in main town i had no problems. Played as a Necro first for 10 lvls and found it boring, it was too easy, you can literally afk and your minions kill everything, then rerolled Barbarian and everything became harder, you actually have to use all your skills, pots etc. on bosses. Only concern i have it might be a little bit repetitive, dont know if it's worth 50€+ price tag they're gonna put on it.

Anyone playing the re4 remake yet? It's supposed to be amazing same story but with added side quests and apparently slightly different, can't wait to pick it up myself but not spunking £50 right now.

Been playing Civ 6, Walking Dead & 7 days to die recently.

Also looking forward to Last of Us on steam, never played the games but same as above, £50 right now just can't.

Resident Evil 4 Remake is about 20 hours long and it's a better game than the original (that is massively popular). It has just enough new things to make it exciting, also it has a bit more horror elements - in my opinion a better remake than Dead Space, which was already great.

I recommend it, it's currently the best game of the year.

I've been playing Resident Evil Village and Witcher 3 (and waiting for Soulslike games to go on sale again).

Oh, right, I also played Diablo IV. It's good, but I'm not giving Blizzard 80euros for a game.
