I m swiss even i have to say there is no way this was a penalty felt really sorry for northern Ireland since i dont think we would have scored otherwise.

with var (or an average referee for that matter) that would not have been penalty. imho we need var at the world cup, knowing you could avoid such situations and not use var sounds strange at the very least.

incidentally, it has to be said that switzerland (as far as i can get from highlights) dominated the whole game and i'm 99% sure that in 180 minute they would have scored more than northern ireland anyway.
