immobile+belotti has almost never worked, they are too similar and do the same things. every time they play together, one of the two disappears, sometimes both.

how can ventura do the same thing over again and expect a different outcome is beyond me.

Our Candreva has been very poor throughout.What the hell has he been upto on corners?And with 2 forwards who are good in the air he has hardly put any decent ball in.The commentator called him out for always delaying his crosses and ruining the runs made by Immobile and Belotti.

Flat performance by Italy overall who clearly came to get draw and waste as much time as they could.All that playacting in the end might cost them.Sweden are nothing too special and i think if Italy had a better coach they would have gone for the win instead of being pvssies for so long.1-0 defeats always complicate the 2nd leg.

Ventura has completely lost the plot, assuming that he's ever had one.
The dumbass sent Insigne in to take Verratti's place as a playmaker; of course, why would you call Jorginho up when you can play Insigne in a position he's never played before? Now we need a two goal win to qualify, so I wouldn't be surprised by a Gagliardini-Perin partnership up front in Milan.
Seriously, I can't even get mad about the whole situation, because I realise that even if we managed to qualify, we would make a spectacle of ourselves in Russia.

Sweden is a traditional top 10-15 footballing nation in Europe (doesn't sound that great but it's something) but Italy has been playing much poorer than that in this qualifier. Can't believe so many people didn't see this coming. It's not as if Italy played against Greece or similar.

Insigne is probably feeling what Beccalossi was feeling back in the day. At least Antognoni was too great to pass whereas Insigne is losing his spot for players like Giaccherini, Darmian and formation idiocies.

I predicted Sweden will beat Italy and I'm hoping they finish off the job in the Meazza. Ventura is a garbage manager who drops better players like Insigne, Jorginho and allow shit players like Darmian, Bonucci, and Immobile to wear the Arzzuri colours.

The amount of playacting by Chilleni, Buffon, and Bonnuci only made me support Sweden that extra more.
