Defence: We'll bring Juan and sell Chivu, and I'm satisfied about this decision. I would also loan Caldirola to get some minutes. In summer, if we'll get a good offer for Lucio (>7m), I would let him leave and bring Dede from Vasco who seem promising center back. I think we don't have to renew Cordoba's contract but have to renew Samuel's.

Midlefield: Despite I thought that's the main place we had to invest in the summer, I think we don't have to make any changes in january, but in summer I hope we buy Poli if he'll impress this season (if not, bring other 50-50 midlefielder, maybe that Paulinho guy), and bring another midlefielder like Banega (or Sahin, if he'll be available), and sell Motta for good offer (>9m). If we'll still have to sell Wes :)cry:), I would like us getting someone whose value will be at least 10m less than Wes' price (Ilicic?). Stanko also does'nt have much place in our squad, but I think he can stay and get some minutes.

Forwards: As I see it now, we don't have to buy Zarate and have to sell Milito (again :cry:). We must bring a "colpo" for our attack, my favourite is Jovetic. Also, despite it's not popular to say it, If we have a chance to bring a better and younger center forward than Pazzo at good price (maybe Doumbia, maybe even Luis Suarez if we'll sell Sneijder AND Pazzo) , I'd sell him and bring that one.

JC;
Maicon, Lucio/Rano, Samuel, Zanetti;
Banega, Cuchu;
Sneijder (Ilicic?);
Jovetic, Pazzo (Doumbia?), Cou/Ricky.

Monotolivio is the last thing we need for our MF tbh. Slow as hell, not the best work rate, and quite honestly rarely shows in big games.
Still waiting for you to get his name right...

Riccardo Montolivo. black has a point though, the player is pretty mono.

As for Maicon I'm pretty sure that no club will make a lucrative offer for him next summer. He's still valuable, but beyond his prime and injury-prone. But who knows, we might undersell a good player again. Apart from Isla, I'd take Piszscek and also I can't believe I'm saying this... Lulic!

This should be attached to every rumour we have linked to him.

the special one
lol at people saying ricardo is not for us... he is exactly what we need. correct me if im wrong but for a while people have been complaining about how our midfield cant link up with our attacking line.

a pirlo-"esq" type player is what we need. i mean motta is kinda that, minus the amazing long passes and ability to contribute in the final third. montolivo is banega +1. he has the ability to help teams in the build up and create. no, he isnt a box2box that so many are crying about but he would be a machine next to cambi or motta... banega is a half ass scrub(but he is good tbh). im glad we didnt get him over ricardo..

seriously, our plan should be defense. as it is about to be nothing. samuel and lucio are on thier last season before they go cordoba or chivu. dont get me wrong, they are 2 of the best players to ever defend. we have a lot to do in the transfer aspect of our game...

obi- not gona be able to play regularly for 1-2 seasons. same with johnny, johnathan, cou, and poli. we need a young striker, new defender and a midfield that is hungry.

this has me at a loss because we have so many players to replace and so little time. i dont see lucas as a option at all.. vargas would have been perfect imo..

Montolivo is a great passer - someone we need.

Banega is a great passer AND runner - someone we really really need.

At the end, I'd have no doubt choosing Banega over Montolivo. However, if we can't afford him for whatever reasons, Montolivo would be more than good enough. We shouldn't even be considering his big games mentality when we are struggling against much smaller sides. He has played in 4-2-3-1 as one of the DM's under Prandelli, and certainly did well there in Fiorentina's best season in 2009/2010. Despite the question marks over his defensive abilities, there's no doubt his passing would help driving our play forward.

Can't see the reason why you'd reject Montolivo given the lack of talent, passing, and technical abilities we have in our midfield.

And surely if he can come for free.

JC

Maicon, Lucio, Wall, Nagatomo
Zanetti, Cambiasso, Motta
Wes

Don't expect 3 points then. Our attackers are brutally isolated with 3 DM's and the only way we'll get a goal is through a FK or corner. My ideal squad is:

Maicon Lucio/Rano Samuel JZ
Motta Cuchu
Faraoni Sneijder Alvarez
Forlan

Subs: Yuto, Pazzo and Cou/Obi if needed. Milan plays with a 4-3-1-2 usually so attacking down the wing and on the counter is huge.

That would be ideal if we had a better player in Faraoni's place.
