if we needed to sign a big player Brnca couldn't do it.

You was wrong, right statement would be
"if we needed to sign a big player with limited budget Branca couldn't do it"

Branca has signed
Ibra (should be a legend if he didn't join Milan)
Quaresma (a failure, but still a big name at that time)
Milito + Motta (cost around 30m, could be considered big names)
Eto'o (epic win)
Sneijder (big win)
...

Branca can not pull out Sneijder or Eto'o kind of deal everyday, but there are proofs that he can do this.

Needs to get the boot. Who still thinks we had a great mercato? A bunch of opportunistic reject buys every fucking year you don't build a team like that.

When was the last time we picked a player that was a force at his former club and made a proper difference?

I feel it's more Stramaccioni's fault, he hasn't been able to make the players play as they should, I think we had a great mercato, but a manager that has come from more to less, after winning Next Gen Series, he was compared to Mourinho, but seeing the team play like this, not only today, but for most of the season, you can't say it's just one bad day... There's more to it, Stramaccioni last season replaced Ranieri with nothing to lose, now he has changed the team to his disposal, and yet fails to deliver...

Milito was invisible today, that was his choice, my striker will be Milito he said when Pazzini asked for a transfer

Awful awful transfer. People get all giddy when they a hear an italian is coming to Inter. We got a fat ass out of shape old ass player with a heart problem making $3 million euro a season. Fine we got rid of Pazzo but he made less money and was more useful to us than Cassano. How many wingers do we need !!!!

Didn't get De Jong for $4 million euro = huge fail !!! Tho people only bitch about not getting fing Poli

Palacio for $11 million and we don't even play him !!!

Periera, Gargano and Guarin have not been playing well either. This I blame more on him. I don't get what happened these 3 come back from NT duty and are now total shit

-Handanovic: Looking as equal in quality as JC, feels as if he's less likely to make a major fuck up and much, much less wages.
-Pereira: Who honestly wouldn't have signed him, everyone was jizzing away when it was confirmed we signed him, definately an upgrade over Nagatomo. Much lower wages than Maicon and probably will contribute more.
-Gargano: Along with Guarin, these two players push Stankovic and Zanetti (unless Strama insists) further away from playing in midfield so that can only be good news. Cheaper wages than Deki and offers more, finally have some pace in our midfield.
-Guarin: The only player in our midfield that you can call ''strong''. He's showed his worth before and a very good signing I think.
-Mudingayi: Dirt cheap and a reliable Serie A experienced player that'll offer basically what Stankovic , Zanetti in midfield would but with small wages.
-Palacio: 20 goals last year? Shown already that he should probably be first choice ST ahead of Milito and again, about half Milito's wages.
-Cassano: 7 Mil + Pazzini? 'Nuff said.

We've gone from something like:
JC
Maicon-Lucio-Ranocchia-Nagatomo
Zanetti-Stankovic-Cambiasso
Alvarez-Sneijder
Milito

To:
Handanovic
Zanetti-Ranocchia-Juan-Pereira
Guarin-Cambiasso-Gargano
Cassano-Sneijder
Milito

The team this year is far better, solid GK, good natural LB for once, more pace in defence, better physical presence in midfield with Gargano and Guarin and a great selection of creative players to pick from with Alvarez, Coutinho, Cassano, Palacio and Sneijder.

The wages and average age of the squad have also been lowered considerably.

What did you guys expect him to do?

There's more to it, Stramaccioni last season replaced Ranieri with nothing to lose, now he has changed the team to his disposal, and yet fails to deliver...

Milito was invisible today, that was his choice, my striker will be Milito he said when Pazzini asked for a transfer

Strama certainly has his faults and shod be reevaluated with all his rotations and tactic fideling but how can you say we had a great mercato. Gargano was a fringe player at Napoli, a workhorse, a simple player the type we had already in Zanetti, Obi, Guarin and Poli(much cheaper who we decided to pass on) for the middle. Guarin was a reject who wasn't playing at all at Porto and we can see slowly why. We had totally different needs there but we just added Mudingay whose basically worth 1m for a reson, a another fringe player that just adds to a already miserable lineup.

Pereira was also brought at a discount after a bad season at Porto. I don't know how many of you noticed but the dude cant put a proper cross in the box despite trying all game long. He runs works his ass off but nothing concrete comes out of it and the sum is in the end quite high for someone whose less effective then Naga in the end.

Same story for Palacio who was a king in a relegation team but adds very little. Didnt play much but it will be there for everybody to see once he gets rolling. Given that we had 34yo Milito that barely pulled his last season and only started picking up his form towards the end it was quite unrealistic to think he will just continue scoring at this age, Chelsea did the right thing and released Drogba we didn't. So with absolutely average Alvarez and Cou(doesn't seem ready) here we really needed something proper in this department.

Cassano was the only solid swap given the situation with Pazzini who was absolutely useless but again it came out of nowhere and in reality we needed something different. He was also a rotational player at Milan not somebody who won games on his own and his poor fitness situation doesn't help too much.

Handanovic is a good buy on paper given Cesars contract situation but he is yet to prove he has that little bit of magic Cesar had in his time.

A good mercato is, at least in my view, when you pick up players you scout for some time and build a team on your needs. We just don't do that Branca waits for last two weeks and just adds a bunch of guys who can be acquired for low cost regardless of there purpose. And lets not forget the whole rejuvenating bs stuff that never got going.

Forget Strama at this rate not even God will make Inter play proper football. Obviously opinions will difer but I'm convinced that the coach is the least of our problems.

EDIT: I forgot Silvestre. We brought a player from a team that conceded more than 60 goals last season to improve our defense. Seriously no comments needed.

Poli is cheaper than gargano? Lol. If there is a reason why we didnt sign poli, it would be bcs samp tried to steal some millions euro more on poli. Besides, didnt we get gargano on loan for 1 mil? How can poli be cheaper than 1 mil?

Guarin was in a fight with their manager and he had injuries before he came to inter, thats the reason why he didnt play.

Genoa might be relegation club for some, but the fact is Palacio scored 19 goals in a season, not every strikers can do it esp for a relegation club.

We have been in scout for Pereira, before we bought him. The reason why it was so late because porto was waiting if napoli and chelsea would make a higher bid. As for cassano and gargano, we have seen them every week, we dont need to scout them much to know theyre good players. The quick way we got Handanovic and Silvestre actually explains that they have been followed for sometimes. It is not a sudden buy. Mudingayi is not a bad move as well, we might think he is not necessary but if anyone see the pre-season, he was a steal and has something to offer as a back up player.

Cassano is awful? He has helped us with 2 goals and 1 assist in 3 matches (could be more, i'm not updated with the last 2 matches). He arrived in very bad shape but he has improved tbh. He looks fresher now. Pazzini for milan? What is he good apart from the hattrick? What did pazzini actually could add into our games? We bitch about not creating enough chances, definitely pazzini is not the answer.

We didnt get de jong for 4 mil, bUt gargano with a better bargain. I dont see much problem.

It's to easy to say that every move in the mercato was wrong after todays match...

Its not easy after yesterdays game its easy to say after 9 official games + preseason against very low quality opposition with only 3 wins out of those games. We can say that Roma was the only equal quality side on paper and they demolished us despite losing and drawing there other 2 games in the league against not impressive teams.

We gathered a fair amount off games by now to pass judgment. Not all moves were wrong or we acquired all bad players but the moves were without a purpose and that's the whole point of the rant. We were in for a winger and brought a SS and CF for the job, we wanted someone to connect the dots in the middle and we brought 2 destroyers to partner 3 other destroyers. The defense was patched with a guy from a even worse defense and CF spot was ignored completely. Its not all down to money savings and stuff people refuse to see beyond the numbers like they are giving money for wages from there own pocket.

Poli was at a cheaper wage and his price was fixed at 6mil we simply opted not to redeem him. The Samp ceo said so publicly, saying they were 100% the deal was done long ago as did Polis agent. Gargano will still have to be redeemed at 7.5mil so his not cheaper in any way.

Guarin was in a fight with the manager for not playing since Fernando was favored regardless of injuries. If you check things out you will see he was not even a regular starter under AVB the season before starting only 12 games in that season and another 10 a sub(league stats). He was also quite bad in the Copa for Columbia just after EL final. He started nice with us in these few games towards the end of season but now as he got more responsibilities to carry our midfield he is getting lost since he doesn't have the quality to do so. Not a bad player but he cant be what we want him to be since he lacks in several aspects of his game. Its not his problem we didn't pick up a technical player to partner him but brought 2 guys that basically are exact as him and made him play what he cant.

Genoa was almost relegated last season that's why I said a relegation team. Every dog has his day he also scored only 7 and 9 respectively in previous years when they played much better. If Palacio had a continuity of such stats I would not have a problem. Lucarelli was 2 times in a row top scorer in Seria A with Livorno but he was not a top quality player hence no top team picked him up regardless of his record.

Wont comment on the scouting part because as far as I followed it was out of the blue like majority of our acquisitions minus Palacio who was really pressed for 2 years. Pereira is solid player but the problem is the purpose. With Chivu, Naga and Zanetti all available to play there was it needed once we decided to keep Chivu? Even more so when we see him used in the middle.

Axes are already rising for Stramas head but after 3 years and now our fifth coach there is a limit on how much the coaches are at fault for same players not performing week in and out. Its just my 2c we will see how it goes but I don't see how we can drastically improve once better teams start coming since we simply lack quality. The coach cant do much when his main players cant string 3 passes in the middle.

Do you really believe on the Samp CEO? I don't tbh. Those CEO and Presidents from Genoa, Sampdoria, Palermo and Udinese always licking asses. They always try to steal more if they could. That's what mediocre team does. Remember Cesena when we wanted to redeem Nagatomo? They asked for an extra 1 million? Those small teams always look for money. The deal was done long time ago, but Sampdoria must have wanted to make a new deal. If I'm not mistaken, Gargano is at 5.5 mil. I seriously don't think Poli will come any cheaper than 6.

Guarin was in a fight with the manager for not playing since Fernando was favored regardless of injuries. Its not his problem we didn't pick up a technical player to partner him but brought 2 guys that basically are exact as him and made him play what he cant.

Guarin and Fernando played in two different positions, they have totally different styles.

Stramaccioni and Chivu at few interviews have mentioned themselves that they agreed Chivu would be playing as CB. This is because Lucio decided to make a Luciomovic. So, we extended Chivu for CB back-up. This is very clear from the pre-season that Chivu played as CB partnering Frog and Silvestre. Stramaccioni at 1 interview said that Zanetti would be our RB (although I'm not sure how serious he is about this because I haven't seen much JZ in the RB this season). So, we decided to go for Pereira who is a LB. (Again, I don't understand the movement to play Pereira in the LCM). Stramaccioni could be on Ranieri mode.
Axes are already rising for Stramas head but after 3 years and now our fifth coach there is a limit on how much the coaches are at fault for same players not performing week in and out. I don't see how axes are rising for Strama's head (except in FIF). He has lost 3x, that's true. 1 of them, he trolled the match in the pre-season because he was convinced after 3-0 away win. 1 of them, he was totally outplayed. I haven't watched Siena, so I don't know how bad it was. He almost lost against Vaslui but that was because he was being too cautious and rested too many players. Then, whenever we win, we win with a clean sheet and score at least 2 goals. 4x in a row for away matches. Now, the question is only how to bring home those away performances. We don't need to play beautiful, just play for the win like in the Torino's game.

Really? Now we are in the discussion what we believe and don't on a personal point? I personally don't believe a word our CEO's say. But lets not get stingy over the half million difference, if your correct in your info, when that never was a my point in Gargano deal. We opted not to redeem Poli because we already had options in his quality(logically thinking) to get something different but we didn't did we. Gargano offers exactly the same shit with a bigger wage and is older a few years + a foreigner that wont improve at all.

Now off to the brilliant statement for Guarin and Fernando. I took the liberty and confirmed what I saw since I actually watched Porto over the last few years. Here are the stat pages of both players and there appearances for Porto in 10/11 season and half of 11/12 season since Guarin arrived in January here. You need to select the season on top right to get the appearances.

http://soccernet.espn.go.com/player/_/id/124066/fernando-francisco-reges?cc=5739
http://soccernet.espn.go.com/player/_/id/88218/fredy-guarin?cc=5739

Now the amazing fact is they played together in more then 40 games only 5 times. 3 times from the start and believe it or not it was not under AVB but under the new coach and 2 times under AVB with Guarin being introduced in the last 20min of both of those games. If you check further you will see a amazing stat that most of the time there were subs for each other Gurain coming most off the time off the bench for Fernando on and vice versa. Furthermore there are number of game were each of them started and the other never saw the same game for whatever reason. So yes they are the same type of players that competed with each other with different quality characteristics.

Chivu situation is rather simple his a player under contract and he plays where the coach wants him to. If you ever played football you know its like that or they tell you too fuck off. If his situation was set for CB slot there was no need for another CB was there? Another example of a piece business without a purpose regardless of Pereiras arrival. And Chivu is not a back up he will be starting soon enough because he was promised playing time otherwise he would have left like Julio and Lucio did because they were told they wont be playing.

Now with all this said please don't come back and argue just for the sake of it because you proved you have no clue what your talking about. Its quite annoying for me to wright all this biblical text you just to prove a point to someone for things that are pretty much there for everybody to see.

If you want to argue tell me why do you think we improved in several aspects of our game and what this new duds bring that improves us over the last years. If you do I'll gladly say fuck I'm a idiot you were right all along. Its easy to put a few names in the drawing board and say whoa we are so fucking better or say hey we saved 50 million that's got to be great. Whoopty Fuckin' Doo it ain't working like that if those players and the team play like shit.

I'm done with this discussion and hope Branca gets fired because his the cancer that needs to fuck off.

Branca: "In 2012, there will be 10-11 players with salary of under two million euros, something that hasn't happened for quite some time."

This from 23rd Oct 2011. Thanks Michael.

It was made quite clear. To have almost half the squad on under €2m per/season. Not an easy task to complete and still maintain a competitive nature.

Branca's work is still not done yet (replacing Stankovic & co).

Give me a break on the 'fuck branca' shit :palm:

That's in bold is what you wished but the truth was not. I don't believe in anyone from our board or Samp but trying to blame only solely to Inter is pretty stupid.
Now off to the brilliant statement for Guarin and Fernando. So yes they are the same type of players that competed with each other with different quality characteristics.

You certainly don't know who they are then even though you claimed have watched them quite a lot. It just needs 1 game for anyone to know and fully understand that they are 2 different type players.

How do you know about him starting soon enough and promised playing time? Did you tap Strama's phone to Chivu? Or you attended their meeting? I said on Strama and Chivu mentioned they agreed to play Chivu as CB which is one of the reason why Chivu decided to accept a wage cut and stayed. I'm too lazy to search but they are on inter.it. So, Chivu will be getting playing time while Samuel is now pretty much a reserve? I'll let you believe whatever you want then.

Chivu took a wage cut. FGS, why people keep denying this fact as the reason why Chivu stayed. Lucio, Cesar and Maicon would have stayed if they opted for wage cut. Didn't Lucio come out and say this same thing said by Cesar on his goodbye? :palm: Keep hating Chivu, but his willingness to accept a wage cut should be appreciated. Cesar admitted that he was offereda lower wage but he couldn't accept. Lucio said he was given the same thing as Cesar.

We know from last season that we were lack of 1 CB despite we have Samuel, Lucio, Chivu (who was playing as LB), Ranocchia and Juan in our disposal. Now, with Samuel, Ranocchia and Juan in our disposal while Lucio decided to make Luciomovic, did we not need anymore CB? We needed 2. That's why Stramaccioni moved Chivu to CB after Chivu agreed for a wage cut. Even with Chivu renewal, we still needed 1 more CB, why? because we didn't expect Juan to grow as strong as he is today. So, we went to loan Silvestre. Now, we have 5 CBs in our disposal which should be enough in terms of quantity.

I'm done with this discussion and hope Branca gets fired because his the cancer that needs to fuck off.

We will be revisiting this part in few weeks once he gets to full fitness and gathers a few games. I'll have no problem saying I'm wrong. And yes I taped Stramas phone.

You also never answered my question but opted to try and insult me over the internet with a ridiculous quote and a comment about my avatar. lol way to go quite mature and above all intelligent;)

Chivu didn't take a wage cut. He accepted a contract with lower wages because his contract has expired, which is a pretty different thing than taking a wage cut.

Lucio, Cesar and Maicon could have sat on their contracts if they wanted and there is nothing Management could have done about it, because all of them had their contracts with at least a year left on them.
