The fact a club in our (horrible) financial state is throwing out lucrative golden handshakes is absurd.
Goes to show it's about the financial books. We have money in the bank account.

Just wish this dang thing, was resolved about a month ago, so maybe we could have used part of the money to sign a new 🐸 backup at least.

He was never a starter during his stay here! He was signed after his loan from ManU. Same summer that Lautaro was close to joining Barca. So at the time it was a good deal.

It had to be done. Down in the striker's pecking order, earning almost the same as Lukaku. Not to mention not getting on with the coach too. He might be super professional in trainings, but to have a better financial future, these guys need to be gone.

Grazie for 120'minute winner vs Gobbi. A true rube assassin.

I think he was good transfer at the end except the 4th year (3 years contract, as first he was on loan). His salary was high, but Inter didn't pay a transfer fee, and he was a useful option off the bench. The best attacker behind Lukaku and Lautaro. It's not his fault that COVID and Chinese restrictions made us beggars.

Inter didn't pay a transfer fee, but pay pretty much more in golden handshake. Nothing to be happy about.

It's due to the length of the contract, as i said that this is the only flaw for me. I'm happy overall with the player. We got him for a valuable option off the bench and he fulfilled his purpose.

Yea to me even the contract was excessive. No other team in the world wanted him nor would give him anywhere near what we gave him both in terms of length in the contract nor salary. At a certain point our management needs to come to things from a position of strength. While they do stupid shit like this ..... then they are waiting for the last minute to Resign Perisic and Skriniar. Hope the 2nd one doesn't end the same.

It wasn't like Eriksen who PSG, Real Madrid, Man U were potentially waiting for him to be a free agent. We paid to get him early + big contract to get him to come here. Obsolutely no good team in Europe wanted him aside from Sevilla who could not pay him 10th of his Man U wages.

You can literally take the last two posts (tweets) and remake the entire thread of past 60 days just by posting them one after the other.

Go watch the Kevin Spacey movie from 1999 called American Beauty.

Yes, Hollywood has already thought of this scenario.

Probably not full. But it will be like 70-80%. We are lucky that Marseille is gonna give him 2.5M, so thats probably the part he will leave at Inter, or at least close to that.

The golden goodbye is for 4.5M€ net and Marseille will give him 2.5M€ so he doesnt lose his last contract sum which is a 7M€ net.

Golden handshakes are taxable, but Im not sure on what digits. We'll save probably only 5-6M € in the end while getting his salary off our backs.

Correa, Dzeko, Lautaro, Lukaku it is.

Thing with this golden handshake is we can sink this cost to past financial year. So compared to last season's wage bill, we remove full Sanchez salary (of course we have the golden handshake as extra cost there but I guess these things matter).
