Recoba recalls: "I could go to Milan. Moratti ..."

El Chino was one of the most beloved players from Massimo Moratti. But it has never failed to repay in full confidence of its President. Recoba, now back to playing in Uruguay, the Danube, explains what was for him to play for Inter:
"It 's been an honor and pride. I am very fond of Inter. I remember my debut in the league in 20 minutes I had two goals against Brescia. It 'was amazing. "

He confesses that he could move to AC Milan, but that hypothesis has never occurred: "There was a chance to play with Milan. Even if they are rivals, Inter and Milan is a lot of respect. Evidence of those who went from one team to another as Guly, Seedorf and now Leonardo. Perhaps to prevent its passage in the Rossoneri was Moratti, who has never hidden his love for football el Chino. Recoba said the relationship with the President: "To discuss the contract with Moratti we put 5 seconds. It 's a person too good for the world of football. Defends Inter's players ever." :proud:

In the many years at Inter, Recoba has become the protagonist not only on the field, but also when she sang the anthem Inter. An episode that says so: "I love to sing. With Javier Zanetti we made a lot of karaoke at home. Javier is convinced Minogue to sing like (laughs). When we went into the studio to record" Pazza Inter ", after singing Zanetti said: "Do sing el Chino, which is good." At first I was ashamed and did not want, then they convinced me and I applauded at the end. They are good memories. "

Recoba has always had a good relationship with the captain, who now wants to thank: "As soon as I arrived at Inter I was three months guest at the home of Javier and Paula. They do things without expecting anything in return people are wonderful and supportive. The fact that they have a foundation says much about how they made as individuals. "

:proud:

Alvaro Recoba

Surely one of the most lethal left foots in the history of football. Alvaro Recoba remained with us loyally for a decade from 1997-2007, vowing that he would win the scudetto with us before he left. He was interestingly nicknamed "El Chino" due to his appearance, particularly his face, which resembled that of a Chinaman. This was then expanded to "El Chinito" literally meaning "the little Chinaman" due to his size. Some of his strikes were simply incredible to us mere mortals. Let us remember and appreciate what Recoba did for us. Gracias Alvaro, te recordaremos por siempre!

btw, the video only really kicks off at 0:36. It's a fabulous collection of the best years of his career.

This sounds more like disappreciation for Recoba than demanding more appreciation for those you mentioned.

Recoba is one our legends, it's one of my legends nonetheless. He was the only one for me back in the days alongside Javier.

35 years old and still playing!

He is currently playing for Primera División Uruguaya side Club Nacional de Football, where he started his youth career.
