He performed well at Inter, but let's tone down on 'getting him back' comments.

It's evident he thrived due to our defenders and system, not because he's world-class.

Calling him world-class based on one season seems disconnected from reality.

Sommer has shown better consistency than Onana thus far.

It might be time to let go of the 'bring him back' narrative; it's becoming repetitive and seems out of touch.

Consider bringing him back solely as a Sommer substitute, without additional commitments, and United paying his full salary until the end of the year. He could be a good Copa goalie.

That's it.

I sometimes think people have not even watched serie a games last season and only watched the champions league.
Also, no need to get him back... i think its pretty fucking obvious by now that we dont need a gk that can use his feet. I rather have a keeper that can make saves, instead of being a meme every week.

Maybe we won't get him back, especially if Bento is already wrapped up. But, we can look in some United players if they plan a clear out. And I'm pretty sure that they will do it.

I was genuinely curious.

These are stats after 15 games (14 for Sommer). That is a ridiculous shot on target difference. ManU are a team that is defending horribly and it was the same shit today. Horseshit defending on crosses and headers.
No one is denying that Onana had some serious blunders but with that constant pressure is it really a surprise ?

i was half joking but would absolutely take him back on a favaorable deal. sommer is 34 by the way, i adore him but he's gonna go handa route of declining evey year from now on. united are an absolute shithole. players who flopped at united - alexis, darmian, lukaku, young all helped us win the scudetto.
yes he thrived in our system, which will still be here when he comes back lol inzaghi has figured how to get the best out of him so he'll definitely go back to being a beast if he were to come back, im sure of it

Did he suck again? I saw FotMob gave him a 4.9 rating.

Man Utd are third at conceding chances in EPL. Only Luton and Sheffield have conceded more.

Say whatever you want about Onana but Man Utd defensive set up is a real mess. It's undeniable.

Yeah of course he's not this bad as the numbers show.

If the team in front of a goalie doesn't work properly, goalie looks way worse. Onana is also a keeper who wants to be the guy so I guess he is overdoing stuff time to time which only makes everything worse. And by now his confidence is so annihilated that there's not much left in him. :D

Onana is not a world class overall goalie. United bought him for big money, but they paid for his ball playing skills. Skills they aren't using at all because the team is a fucking mess. The team is so far from the point where they can start using goalie like Onana effectively. Bunch of entitled pricks who aren't ready to work.

The goalkeeper is always the easiest to blame when goals are being shipped; that’s just the way it is. Not that he hasn’t played like shit, but being used as cannon fodder and constantly under a microscope makes you play worse.

No I don’t think he’s world class, but he is still young in goalkeeper years. Hope he can return from this nightmare.

Onana has been playing better in EPL. Some of those conceded UCL goals are inexcusable.

At the right now, imo Sommer has been much better than him but for a couple of years later if Sommer can’t keep his form, that would be tempting option in specific, on free.
