You guys need to relax a little bit. Forlan had the characteristics as well, started off good with us, then faded because he could not convert and couldn't handle the pressure. He still is/was a good player with good off-the-ball movement (better than palacio), technique (better than palacio), finishing (better than palacio) e.t.c. but still didn't cut it.

Palacio has been 'decent' in some pre-season games. That's it. For a veteran player, that should be expected and shouldn't be hailed as some miracle or justification of his purchase. Don't sing his praises yet because the real test will be how he performs throughout the season and reacting to adversity, which we will encounter during the season.

Just as some of the guys need to rein it in a bit, you don't need to write him off so quickly.

Palacio is clearly gearing up for a good season, a player we need. Hopefully if he does fulfil that, you will come out and admit it.

OK, thank you Strama. Now I will put finger in my mouth, than I will imagine your substitutions, than I will throw up and go to sleep.

Thank you again and good night.

You guys are really piece of work.

Two matches and you start to blame the subsitutions already?

Don't expect magic from Strama. We have a mid table squad.

Other than having a poor team, Stramaccioni is obviously no Guardiola. Don't give a shit if people will flame me for this but it's still a lot of fun to remember all those ''we got our Pep'' posts. Lol.

Swap Pep (when in Barcelona) and Strama and see what happens.

10 mins to go and protecting your lead isn't really that bad, Fuckieri changed to 5 at the back when we were getting beat and going out the Coppa

Very true, but sad when we need to compare Strama to Ranieri.

Substitutions were not that bad...Silvestre for Sneijder was just to secure the advantage from first leg and avoid even bigger embarassment...

I would maybe only bring in Palacio instead of Longo, but besides that, subs were ok...Strama tried to change things, but players were shit today (Handanovic is an exception)

Yeah. Though Palacio was not even on the bench (had a knock).

In addition to Handanovic, also Coutinho was great.

Strama going to have a lot of headaches this year. Ageing players is just the beginning.

The loss of Maicon will be massive. We lose a good attacking full back, moving Zanetti there - who has almost ZERO end product, will mean we will expect Nagatomo on the left to be the new attacking full back with Zanetti almost acting as a 3rd CB when that happens.

Sadly, it may mean we see more of Jonathorninmybackside.

We probably miss on one of the greatest teams ever, that's what happens. Guardiola is a visionary, someone who is ahead of his time and someone who successfully implemented some of his great ideas to make the football better.

Visionary, someone ahead of his time who can successfully implement ideas to make a team = Mourinho winning a treble with an average (compared to Barca) Inter squad. Not Pep winning with a self sufficient already established team.

No man, I really liked his work last season and I know this is just begining. BUT: Hajduk lads didn't get paycheck for months, they are youngest team in Croatian league, they almost finished in 4th league and they still don't know their destiny.

Still, they managed to win our milioners on our pitch with very good Inter crowd. How we will gain respect of our fans if we're losing games like this at home?

I know it's not time to compare Jose and Strama but hose didn't lose on home pitch for 100 years and Strama started his "year zero" with defeat against team who could play "next gen series".

As Suneet said, Palacio has come under a coach who knows how to play him, unlike Forlan who had to play on wing.

Also Forlan came here like a princess who had nothing to prove and off the back of a poor season. Palacio is still hungry for trophies and is in the peak form of his life.

Not even close to being true obviously. This is not the right thread though to discuss this though.

Anyone who believes that simply does not understand the changes that Pep brought into Barcelona. His changes - whilst maybe not so easy to spot unless you know what you're looking for - were completely revolutionary over Riijkard, or to be honest, arguably any previous Barcelona coach.....

There's a reason why teams up and down the world are now adopting his system...
