As for Eriksen I don't think there is any reason for him leaving before summer. Tottenham is still in CL and now having Mourinho as coach who will bring a little bit extra motivation for the team. Eriksen can carefully evaluate the offers and teams and make the move he thinks is the best for his career.

Why is a bitch? If the guy has been wanting to move to Spain for over an year already, waiting for Real and Barca only makes sense if you are becoming a free agent.

if this was meant ironically, or as a joke, then it is one thing. but at least in my book, the greatest players are those who don't want to play for the "most important" clubs, but rather they want to make their club the most important one.

winning at real madrid or barcelona, nowadays, is the easiest path. it doesn't require character, it doesn't require courage, it doesn't require the idea of challenging yourself. at the end of the day, at best, it's lazyness.

given the state of their season to date, i suspect if they've got a player they think will help (which, presumably, they would if they wanted to sign him), then they'd bring him in ASAP.

It takes time to acclimatise to a new team and country - better to use 6 months of this season than 6 months of next season.

Tbh Real M doesn't sound like the type of team who want x player and wait for Summer to get him on free. If they would want him now they would pay whatever figure directly if they don't its because they don't regard him a top target.

That said , in the summer they can still go after him if they fail to get whatever this first target really is.
