We play Empoli in the next serie A game, it’s hardly a gamble playing some of the current reserves there. You can’t play our current starters every game we have a tough CL game mid week and some of them need to be rested against Empoli.

Frankly I hope at least some of Dimarco, Lautaro, Dumfries, Mkhitaryan and Barella are given a rest, it’s also a good game to start Parvard as well.

a part from the CL there are a lot of games that we almost forget. Like Coppa italia or the supercoppa semifinal (+ maybe final). Frattesi will have he's chances, there are a lot of games.

Can't help but feel we paid 35m for a vice Barella. They have different strengths but essentially the same play style. Could the money have been better invested elsewhere?

1. No, it's not the same play style but yes he is probably here as the main bench option for Barella. Barella is the glue and can play multiple roles during THE SAME GAME, while Frattesi is somebody who is really good at rushing into the box and has this certain grinta about him.

2. No, we need quality in our midfield and I'm glad he is here and not at AC Milan. Thuram, Frattesi, Sommer, Carlos Augusto already showed in 4 Serie A games that they have enough quality to play for us.

3. If Sensi wasn't made of glass, I would still want Frattesi here.

I think it's normal Inzaghi to start the best against Real S, but for Empoli, he definitely has to refresh the staring line up. Arnautivic, Frattesi, Pavard, Augusto, Cuntdrado could easily commence from the minute one.

Agree, against Empoli we should rotate heavily. Even against Empoli we should give rest to some players that can be comfortably rested, without losing much quality: Darmian - Pavard and Mkhi - Frattesi are no brainers.
