What did we say about Skriniar when he came in?
Touché, I could say I'm not a scout of Inter so it's not my job but that would be to easy. The sad day was when we sold Hakimi. Now we're trying to do damage limitation. To me it feels like when we went from Maicon to D'Ambrosio.
I keep hearing criticisms about Dumfries from you and Reco. You have watched Dumfries a lot more than the rest of us so i respect your opinion. But i don't hear any suggestions about another player we should have got for a similar price. Out of all the other players we were linked with, imo Dumfries was the best option. Perhaps he will end up being the new Santiago Arias. A good player for Eredivisie but not good enough for a top league. But i certainly prefer taking a risk with him than:
That being said, i would feel better if we also manage to sign Nandez on loan with OPTION so we can have him as a backup plan in case Dumfries doesn't work
- 30-year old injury prone Florenzi
- Bellerin who has been shit after his injury and he has been benched by Cedric, our Cedric
- Nandez who was valued at 25m and he has only played as a rwb for 6-months
As I said previously I would go for players we can get on loan with option like Florenzi or Nandez (Cagliari will cave in the end). The sad day was when we sold Hakimi. Now we're trying to do damage limitation. To me it feels like when we went from Maicon to D'Ambrosio.

If we don't have money and have to sell our stars I don't see the point spending money on sub-par players.
It depends how you look at it. People here are suggesting that Dumfries is a safe choice for plusvalenza. I seriously doubt that. We will be stuck with him until the end of his contract because even at "low" wages, no team will be interested in him.No way Florenzi is a better deal than Dumfries, even on loan. Loan fee + wage + injury proneness easily make Florenzi more expensive than Dumfries.
SimeoneSimeone has been good with getting the most out of his wingbacks. I trust him to get the best out of dumfries. Not expecting much, but it's better than danilo or darmian becoming our first choice rwb
Nah. That was Conte. The only Lazio wingback who looked good was Lazzari. Guys like Dusan Basta, Marusic, Jordan Lukaku, Lulic, Fares looked exactly the way they were. Below average. On the other hand, Simone always had his way with midfielders and that's where i am expecting some pleasant surprises.Simeone has been good with getting the most out of his wingbacks. Haha, auto correct or dreams??Simeone
I always thought lazzari looked good for lazio as well as marusic. The other names there are complete trash so not sure if he can be blamed. But, can only hope.Nah. That was Conte. Anyways, it seems that the deal is done, no point in being negative about him anymore.
Welcome Dumfries, hopefully you'll surprise me and give a lot to the team!
i liked basta, he was good in he's first years. Lulic was decent too. i honstly also have the feeling that inzaghi made them look "better/decent". It's normal that you can't turn a player worldclass if he's shit, even if you are the best coach on earthNah. That was Conte. The only Lazio wingback who looked good was Lazzari. Barca sees Emerson not-for-sale and Dalot is even benched by Calabria lol. Vrsaljko...useless if he can't play....
We could have try to get Emerson from Barcelona, Dalot from Man Utd. I would even prefer Vrsajlko on loan. I could say I want Nandez but I would base that purely on the fact I don't like Dumfries. The only good thing is that the costs of him are low for our standards and it should be easy to get some Plusvalenza of this deal.
