Yeah, this position isn't for him. He was poor but I don't blame him too much for it. It would work against lesser teams

Our record with Acerbi playing at LCB is actually really good. I can’t really recall a match we lost with him playing there. However at this level you can see his deficiencies there. This squad has been missing a real back up in that position for a long time.

I don't think he made any mistake in the defensive aspect, but oh boy he was so useless when we had the ball.

This guy makes strikers disappear in matches. In our system with him as the Central CB he is a perfect match for any team that plays with a physical CF.

He reminds me of Samuel in that regard. Walter would also perform a vanishing act with the likes of Drogba, Ibra, Klose…

Where are we going to find a younger Acerbi in the summer? He works perfectly in that central position.
I'd like Buongiorno from Torino - he's made a step up and looked good in a big match for Italy as well. We already wanted a Torino centreback the first time around, hopefully we can succeed this time. He also already plays in a 3-man defence.

He struggled a lot against Oshimen, but did his job. I'm still surprised that VAR didn't call that knock. The intervention against Thuram vs Benfica was similar, but we got penalty.

This Christmas can we all say a few prayers for Acerbi to stay sharp and healthy for the remainder of the season? He’s too important for us at this stage

Booed continously by the Lazio fateful, but was solid again, when will De Vrij be back? He could use a rest.

I think that Simone already mentioned it - this guy has insane concentration abilities. How he can conserve his stamina at this age over such a long span of time without being injured is crazy. What a player to have. I love him dictating the game from the back.
