You're giving me a tedtalk about carpe diem, I'm trying to have a real Convo about the reality of Inter.
Since you mentioned gambling, even a greater gamble is a random 17 year old Brazilian kid from Rio. We can do this all day...
As I wrote sometime you win sometimes you loose. I grant you some of those in the past where pure stupidity, but then you know Branca.
I also didn’t say one should take unreasonable gambles, but it is necessary with some gamble.
Going back to the tedtalk, everything is a gamble in life. A safe choice would've been keeping Dzeko for another year.
Scamacca at the moment is a better player than Balogun.
No he ain’t, last year Balagun scored more then 20 goals, what did Scamacca do besides being injured?
I said that whatever "measuring system"/scale you use for Balogun, with the same standard Scamacca is a better player using the same "scale".
I’m using the one where one actually played and performed the other was hardly even playing. Like what was it 16 games Scamacca got!
What is available to me and you at the moment are just videos online from them. If we take their best seasons and compare them, clearly Scamacca is much dangerous in front of the goal, is bigger/taller, stronger, has scored in the league Inter plays, many many many times.
Yes and Correa also had Serie A experience, how was that turning out. The serie A experience isn’t always the sort of guarantee for success as people make it out to be and it ain’t really the first time.
if you watched Scamacca you know he ain’t really that great, he had one good season that’s it. I never seen anything in that lad, some people rating of him is mind buggering.
But you aren't choosing their best seasons. You choose Scamaccas worst season vs. Baloguns best.
That just happened to be the last, it’s not like majority of Scamacca season where all that spectacular, as I wrote he had one good the rest was not really worth of note.
Look at the wiki stats from his season in Middlesbrough, 20 appearances and 3 goals. Where was this wiz kid you all talk about then? Oh was he too young? In a very physical league, the coach didn't understand him, he wasn't treated fair? Was he hurt? What was keeping him from "carrying the team on his shoulders"?
He was like 20 years old seriously what was Scamacca doing at that age exactly.
Scamacca was hardly even scoring goals at that age. At Balagun age he was scoring like 8 goals tops.
Again, I'm talking about a better player at the moment, and a better deal for Inter. Scamacca is a more finished product. There isn't as much room for guessing with him, give or take you know what you're buying.
I feel balogun is a scam. I don't see him being good in Italy or in a seriös league.
He ain’t any better, he is not even a very good player. He had one fine season that’s it all the remaining seasons was largely forgettable.
This kid has already scores plus 20 goals, sure in france but in a defensive league for not the greatest of teams, I doubt we ever see Scamacca score even half of that.
Is he a new super star prospect probably not, but he for sure is more interesting then the mediocre Scamacca who is never going to be remotely better then 4th choice material.
€30m is currently the price for injury plagued mediocre scamacca, you think that is money well spend?
Yes if Balagun is €50-60m then its obviously a no go, the gamble becomes to high and potential profit too low… But if we talk €35-40m I do think It will be worth the shot.
