@sdvroot the topic of this thread is Inter's financial situation. If you want to make posts about Newcastle new owners please do it in Premier League thread.

One can sense a kind of envy, these events are directly related to Inter's financial situation, unfortunately.

So there are new rumours of the Zhangs needing to raise a further 100 million with the sales of Martinez, Barella and Bastoni being talked about.

That's an implication made by the reporters (I assume the GdS ones) that we need t make these sales as it was reported by financial reporters from Sole 24 Ore / Calcio e finanza, that we'll still be making 100m€ losses this season. So let's throw these rumors out of the house for now as there is NO source for this kind of information.

Professor Simon Chadwick believes that Inter and Marseille could be the two clubs that PIF could buy to create a football model similar to that of Manchester City.

Dan Plumley was on Sky Sports UK today and said the same thing.

Interesting. There's a huge difference with City model though. Mansur owns clubs from different continents that are nowhere near as big as Man City. There's no comparison between New York City FC, Melbourne City FC or the team from Japan with Inter and Marseille.

I’m geniunely terrified of the prospect.

I couldn’t support anyhing fueled by that, let alone a football club, even if it is the football club.

"will be ok"? Sorry, Suning's "ambitous" was already clear when they sold our only world-class player, at 22 years of age, for fucking 25m profit.

And people here are still excusing that was reasonable  They don't realize the type of deals we are making looks like crawling back to the Thohir-era.
The financial situation of the club forced the sale of a good player almost for nothing for his level. Either everything is so bad at the club, or really Thohir-era. Or maybe the management decided to compensate for their financial mistakes and sell the club along with the stadium for 1 billion - I think it costs more, but I could be wrong. 1.5 billion?
