We were asked for one of Radu and Zaniolo. We wanted to keep Zaniolo at all costs but we had some sort of agreement with Genoa where he'd play as a starter on a loan with obligation for a higher amount so we let him go there instead... Then Zaniolo would have been loaned to Genoa/Parma/Cagliari or whatever and probably return to us a la Bastoni.

Inter goalkeeper Andrei Radu is getting close to a loan to newly-promoted Cremonese

Cremonese look to be the team to have won the race for the goalkeeper, who they have identified as the replacement for Marco Carnesecchi following his return to parent club Atalanta after his loan ended.

“He likes the idea, there are also also offers from France and Germany, however he wants to stay in Italy and Cremonese could be a good solution, but the last word is his.”

As far as whether the move will be completed after Radu ends his vacation, Damiani explained that “If he decides yes, the two clubs are all set to. There’s an agreement in principle between the two clubs, but obviously the player’s signature is needed.”

And asked whether the loan would be a one-season-long dry loan, the agent simply replied “Yeah.”

Seems like a done deal.

GdS: Radu is also hoping for an extension to his contract Inter, which currently runs out at the end of June 2024, before leaving to go out on loan.

Seems like a joke at this point but Inter could extend his contract to protect the value of the €10.6M investment made in 2019.

Currently the player is only valued at 3.5M, however after a positive season in Serie A his value could go back up again.

As has been reported by Corriere dello Sport today, the goalkeeper is very close to leaving the Nerazzurri and joining newly-promoted Cremonese who have been pursuing him for some time. He was also linked a lot with Lazio this month.

The issue that needs to be resolved though resolves around what percentage of his salary Inter will pay in order to ensure Cremonese can take him. They cannot afford to pay his salary outright and he does not want to receive a pay cut.

Meetings will have to take place with the player and his entourage to decide how best to proceed. His season was defined by a bad error against Bologna which proved fatal to Inter’s Scudetto hopes.
