I think both solutions are fine. The bad thing with Perisic leaving is he'd be leaving for free. Because keeping him would make it possible for us to shift him to right and monetize Dumfries if there was a market for him. Probably there is in EPL.

But Perisic leaving is okay in a sense @.h. explained. He leaves lots of empty space in our salary budget.

honestly, I get why we want to keep Perisic, but we also need to be pragmatic. Losing Perisic will save us like 10-12mil a year in costs, and we already have IMHO a decent replacement for him in Gosens. While many of us want to keep Perisic, its also hard to deny this is the attitude (e.g. keep older players on longer contracts) that got Inter into its current conundrum

I guess. But from winning perspective, Spurs are not gonna do anything at EPL level or in CL. At least, Inter has a good shot for Serie A again this year.

I know Conte is a complete choke artist in Europe, but the Spurs have definitely had more CL succes than us lately.

We don't have money for Kostic. And we have other priorities. Kostic-Gosens or Perisic-Gosens makes no sense when we have other priorities (another midfielder or a CF).

yeap. We are getting someone like Cambiaso, that wont cost a lot and will have low wages, or we are gonna go for Bernardeschi, who will be free, but will get bigger wages.
Now if Gosens stays healthy i'd be fine with either of those, but unfortunately we know that that wont happen, so idk, what are our other options.
