I think both solutions are fine. The bad thing with Perisic leaving is he'd be leaving for free. Because keeping him would make it possible for us to shift him to right and monetize Dumfries if there was a market for him. Probably there is in EPL.

But Perisic leaving is okay in a sense @.h. explained. He leaves lots of empty space in our salary budget.

honestly, I get why we want to keep Perisic, but we also need to be pragmatic. Losing Perisic will save us like 10-12mil a year in costs, and we already have IMHO a decent replacement for him in Gosens. While many of us want to keep Perisic, its also hard to deny this is the attitude (e.g. keep older players on longer contracts) that got Inter into its current conundrum
And then we immediately turn around and waste that "money saved from Perisic" on a 33 year old Mkhitaryan.

How old is Perisic again?

Yes bringing Cambiasso out of retirement to play LWB is exactly the kind of option available on our budget.
Probably still do a better job then using dalbert...
But no I am reffering to andrea cambiasso of genoa

He is 33.
Ivan and vidal's wages are higher then mkhi. So don't get what mkhi has to do with ivan.

Cambiaso :pazzini: One "S"

Anyway, sources are reporting Perisic has chosen Tottenham.

I don't know why go to Tottenham. They would never win anything, Conte or not. He is not gonna prove himself at EPL at 33. Wrong move.

Goood! ivan was fantastic this season. But I am reluctant to give him another contract when we have already Gosens. It makes no sense to have 2 excellent LWB when we need to cover another positions.

He always wanted to play in EPL. He has said it himself in public. Tbh he doesn't have to prove anything. He would go there for a new experience and the last paycheck.

Yeah but rumors are he's a serious player who wants to win. If that's the case he's choosing the wrong project

I guess. But from winning perspective, Spurs are not gonna do anything at EPL level or in CL. At least, Inter has a good shot for Serie A again this year.

I know Conte is a complete choke artist in Europe, but the Spurs have definitely had more CL succes than us lately.

Don't have one.
With him, I just wanted us to try to keep him, and we did, so now if he wants to leave, so be it.

In that case we need to be all over kostic, I don't trust gosens fitness until I see him play a full season, and as I wrote a couple of weeks ago if gosens has problems next year, we will be royally fucked on the wings.

We don't have money for Kostic. And we have other priorities. Kostic-Gosens or Perisic-Gosens makes no sense when we have other priorities (another midfielder or a CF).

I love Kostic and he would be the perfect Perisic replacement but he would cost too much. 10-15m fee and around 3m net contract.

We have Gosens we'll be fine. Perisic wants to taste PL, let him have it. He did his job for us, fighting like a warrior. Best luck.

yeap. We are getting someone like Cambiaso, that wont cost a lot and will have low wages, or we are gonna go for Bernardeschi, who will be free, but will get bigger wages.
Now if Gosens stays healthy i'd be fine with either of those, but unfortunately we know that that wont happen, so idk, what are our other options.
