He was, but he's full time winger now, super inconsistent and frustrating too.

Murillo needs to stay and act as rotation option for our center backs. We can't have just Miranda, Skriniar and Ranocchia available.

I like that deal a lot but isn't Cancelo an offensive FB?

We can't have two offensive FB, Dalbert and Cancelo.

What? Why? Last I checked, almost all top teams have 2 offensive FBs (Real, Barca, Chelsea, Tottenham e.t.c.). Why would you pigeon-hole your attack by only having 1 offensive FB?

I wouldn't sell Murillo. He can be used as RB when necessary which allows Dalbert to attack more freely (turning our defence to 3 CB line). Anyway we need at least one good CB because we cannot count on Skriniar to be a sure thing for the whole season.

Love how people rate Skriniar as better then Murillo after 3 games and never seen him
Or heard of him prior.

Either way heard Valencia wants him on loan or for what we paid for him either way bad moves

I'm sure some people have seen or heard of him prior given he's played consistently for Sampdoria and someone had to have watched a game of theirs at some point.

I don't think it's ideal to rotate the CB partnership - at least for Serie A games. We don't even have that many games this season since we're not in europe. Rotation could backfire like last season when we tinkered with Miranda, Medel and Murillo.

We should finalize the CB partnership sometime in the beginning of the season and leave the other CBs for injury cases or the Coppa matches.

If this is indeed what Spalletti ends up doing (not sure how he did this with Rudiger Manolas and Fazio), then either Murillo or Skriniar will land on the bench.

Rotation as in one of the main centerbacks is injured, tired or we're playing Coppa.

Valencia eye up Inter's Murillo: the situation

While waiting to bring some reinforcements, Inter is evaluating the offer received in these weeks. Among these, there's Murillo's name as Valencia is ready to bring him on a definitive move or on a loan with an obligation to buy. A dry loan without any option or obligation to buy would be swept aside by Inter. If they were to sell their Colombian defender, his price would be around € 14/15m. Valencia is ready to go up until 10/11, so there is about a distance about 3m from an agreement. In the coming days, there should be more contacts between both clubs and Inter, and could want to look for a replacement before selling him.

They're saying it's almost done deal to Valencia.

I'm not really against this as long as we get another top quality CB

Wouldn't we need 2 CBs then? We'll need 4 CBs probably, and since Medel/Ranocchia are done, we'll need another. Still not sure why we let Andreolli go, unless he wanted to leave.

He wanted to leave because we couldn't offer him a regular spot. I think his agent said something like "Andreolli is better than Skriniar and bla bla...".
I don't think that we should sell Murillo for only 15 mln. This is his real value but in today's inflated market he should be at least 20.

According to SportItalia, Murillo has pushed for a move to Valencia as he has an agreement with the Spanish club. The distance between Inter and Valencia is only €2m so there is a great optimism to close the deal very soon.

I also consider €15m for Murillo is too low. I agree with varmin, at least €20m. We`re INTER, we should not sell cheap and he could still turn out to be a very good defender, especially for La Liga.

if we sell him and don't replace him with atleast another young promising CB - we will regret it. Mark my words. We need 3 reliable CBs and then 1 backup that no one wants to see play (ranocchia probably - maybe medel (1 of them have to go)).

We're looking for another CB according to Bergomi, and add Miranda and Skriniar. Now it makes sense for Murillo to leave. There's no place for him.
