I don't believe any of this shit until I see it on inter.it. I've always thought this deal was almost impossible with all the competiton and money needed. And why would Lucas suddenly want to join us? He always said he wanted to stay in Brazil untill the World Cup.

Why? because he didn't impress Man Utd anymore following his poor performances in olympic so far. This season could be his last chance to go Europe. Look how fast people have forgotten Neymar and Ganso. Footballers are like girls, when I'm not interested with you anymore, that's the end.

With Lucas well find cheap alternative options to round out the rest of our mercato hoping to find discounts the last week. If Lucas comes here he will start to the poster who said he'd be behind Coutinho and Alvarez. Moratti wont make this economic sacrifice for a bench player. Lucas is the perfect fantasia on the right flank he's unmarkable in any kind of space. He will cause defenses to concentrate on him and open up the play for others inter desperately need this kind of player. Noone on our squad has his kind of technical ability, breakaway speed, and potential. He has the body to adapt to Italian football he has good upper body strength. Compare Lucas to when Coutinho came to Inter and Coutinho now Lucas is the more physical player. It will be very difficult for defenses to mark our attack. Strama promised him he'd be a main part of his project. It remains to be seen what formation Strama wants to go with.

You should know that Coutinha was just 18 when he arrived, but other hand Lucas will be soon 20, there is a lot of different, so comparing Coutinho when he arrived to inter, cant be made at all. What i wanna say is 2 years is a lot of different when your 18 or 20. lets say if your world class player, then one is 25ish, and the other is 27ish, then there wont be much differense

Most likely because moratti and strama really like lucas. Didn't get that feeling from lavezzi.

We will see in the next few days/weeks.

WTF man, people have forgotten about Neymar? Hell no, Neymar isn't forgotten. It's just that Barca (not 100% sure) practilly signed the boy for 2014 and therefore the rumors stopped. And Ganso hasn't been that impressive as Neymar or Lucas are. But Ganso is a different case anyway because he is so damn injury prone and costs way too much for his age and capabilities.

I can assure you that Lucas will make it to Europe and that this isn't his last chance. The boy is only 19 years old. What could be is that this summer is Sao Paulo's last chance to sell him for such a big amount of money. But even that isn't very likely to happen because Lucas is a really talented player and has lots of years to develop.

Cause Lavezzi, didnt push it harder, the first thing i really did hear about Lucas, was the time when he did say, he had to thing in his mind, to play for Brazil at Olympics and play For inter as his Favorit player is Ronaldo, but still we cant be for sure until it is done.

If this deal was for lets say between 13-9 years ago, we would have got his right away ( that how much power MM had back then )

Barca signed Neymar for 2014? Why do they need to do that? It doesn't make sense as he is now 20 years old. It is not like when we signed Coutinho. They signed a player for millions of euro and then let him for other clubs for 3 seasons? Oh I never know there is such a generous club.

Well a few months ago it was a much reported rumour that Barca had practiclly singed Neymar and already made a small payment of the negotiated price. I'm not saying it's true or anything but it could explain why there aren't that many rumours anymore about him. At least it's a more reasonable thought than just saying that the worlds greatest football talent at the moment is forgotten by the big clubs.

But you just ignored all my other arguements and this topic is actually about Lucas. So let's get on topic.

I doubt lucas would want to make the move to europe in the summer of 2013, only a year before the world cup in 2014. Many players have problems (such as alvarez) in their first year in a tough league and this would jeopardize his world cup selection. If this dude is gonna leave the brazilian league, it's gonna be this summer.

i don't agree with the post before me

a move to inter is a nice upgrade over any Brazilian team. the thing that sets this back is the comments from the Brazilian people saying why would they accept our offer when they declined an offer from man utd for more.

it can only go one way from here - those Brazilian people look like dipshits and we get lucas for less than man utd's apparent offer, or we don't get get lucas they aren't bullshitting. i find it hard to believe they would be so stupid to say they are accepting lower offer for absolutely no reason

i do hope we get him though

Well, to me it would be totally ridiculous if Lucas would surpass Coutinho right away without playing a single game in Europe. It really doesn't make any sense that some prospect from Brazil would overcome Coutinho at this point. Coutinho has gone long way in learning the European football, first by trying it in Serie A and then in La Liga.

Simply, Lucas cannot beat Coutinho in the pecking order. That would be totally fucked up.

According to Michael's website, Rubenal Rubencio wants 32M and Inter said no, but... Lucas wants Inter.

Now, it's Branca's time, and see how good are his negotiator skills.
