Why are you so determined to blame the management? The cunt can’t even pass a fucking medical.

Spinazzola passed his medical. I've seen no story or article saying he failed it. Only thing I've read is that we wanted to do some physical tests the next day and Roma denied that from us.

They didn't back out on the deal which was agreed. We changed the terms and they didn't agree the new terms. Wasn't any backing out since there was no agreement. If someone it was us who back out from the original agreed deal.
So you said we backed out even though Roma didn't agree the new terms? You seem hell intent to blame it on Beppe.

Okay maybe we understand the term "back out" differently. To me it's backing out from an agreement already made.

I don't have any intent to blame anyone, I blame who I see more fault in this. We backed out from the deal we originally made. There was no other deal than the one which led to the medicals being done.

I do honestly feel bad for Politano here (not Spinazzola since he seemed looked petulant about it throughout). It's not really his fault he doesn't have a position in Conte's tactics, and he's never said a bad word about this club so far as I remember. Hope he ends up somewhere that wants him, soon. With a decent fee to us of course. It seems like there's interest from multiple clubs. But if Roma won't pay cash then he may need to accept he won't get his first choice of teams if he wants to play.

I don't think we backed out of anything tbh....you/we don't know what that "agreement" was, or how it was structured.
Maybe we noticed something we didn't like at those "passed" physicals, so we asked for more. Nothing wrong with that. It's doing your due diligence to make sure we don't get burned. But yeah, blaming us for this, is immature, to say the least.
We need more info, and im sure both clubs gonna make some official statement about all this, maybe then we'll find out more, or maybe we wont.
I aint blaming us for maybe dodging a bullet here, on the contrary, im proud we defending our clubs best interests.

I'm not blaming the management for protecting the club's best interests. I'm blaming they got the deal to this point that we had to back out from it suddenly. But let's wait for the official reactions.

He failed the medical because of his stupid face. Prick gave off a weird vibe for some reason.

But this happen all across the other leagues. Clubs find out something they are not comfortable with at the physicals, and have 100% right to "back out", or demand more, otherwise no deal. There's nothing wrong with that. It happens in bunch, all over other industries and business deals. It's called due diligence. Buyer or seller can break of the initial agreement, for different reasons.

Exactly - it's a €25.000.000 deal. Any sort of doubt as to the soundness of such investment should be thoroughly investigated.

Perhaps Pintus and the medical staff interviewed Spinazzola during the medical, and were worried that he would not be able to follow the training regiment without injuring himself - something that could only be determined on sight and not beforehand.

I think it's worth remembering that even if a player is made of glass, clubs generally don't publicise that as the official line so as to not completely tank the value of the player. Correct me if I'm wrong but didn't the clubs in the Nabil Fekir transfer never directly say he failed medical even though journalists later leaked his knees were crocked?

You got to be fuckin kidding me. Some people are blaming this collapsing deal on us? How about starting with the premise, that we're fans of Inter Milano and we give a slight (slight) benefit of a doubt to our club first, before the opponent. That is, if there are no indications of who's wrong, or if there are conflicting stories, we first try to believe our club first, unless there are obvious reasons to do otherwise.

From what I know, Spinazzola is a glass man, and it's hardly a hard thing to figure out even for idiots, let alone as smart guy as Marotta. It's HIGHLY probable that we weren't convinced by the first medical, or it showed some doubt and we wanted to double check on that (hard to not grasp that logic looking at the history of the player). So when we wanted to make sure for the player fitness before we commit to the deal Roma says "fuck you, take it or leave it". If that doesn't sound fishy to you, I don't know what does. Roma tried to fuck us, obviously, they were almost sure they send a glass guy (keep in mind they had him for some time, so they know much, much more about his fitness and health condition than us) to us and get rid of their problem, but not on Marottas watch.

Good call by us and rightly so. Send us somebody usefull, or money, or fuck off Roma.

How somebody can take this as a fail of our management is beyond me.

ps. Hard luck for Politano, he is a good guy (useless for us, but still good guy and looking humble and shit) and if he wants to play he will agree to some next viable destination.

Marotta is a fucking legend, amazing (non-)deal. Simply a master piece.

Seriously, these rumors of Roma suing us goes way over the top. What grounds do they have for a case? Nothing was signed.

I guess they will claim we damaged the image of a Roma's asset with what we leaked to the media about Spinazzola. We didn't just call the deal off. We made it sound like we found something in Spinazzola's medical and we questioned his fitness. Now the deal is off Roma are getting back a player with serious doubts over his fitness who cost them 30m 6 months ago. Now they're basically stuck with him as no one will pay anywhere near Spinazzola book value.

If Roma didnt want the fitness of their player questioned, they should have allowed the extra fitness tests to be done

No deal could be "agreed" or "made" when no medical test has been done. Yeah even my lecturer contract has the line "if no serious health issues involved" let alone a professional footballer.

Think it this way. We checked his knee and we found that his ACL was not fully healed, we cancelled the initial offer. Then we made a completely new offer and Roma rejected it.

Marotta is completely right. Roma is the one who break the verbal agreement first (they gave us a broken product instead of a healthy one). The same as when you buy a shirt online, receive a torn one, return it and book a new one.

Conte said in the press conference that he gave a technical decision regarding Spinazzola. So much for the medical reason just like I said. Spinazzola didn't fail his medical. Our management just conjured some "reasons" to demand extra physical tests to be done.
