I believe they would need to prove that Spinazzola’s value was diminished due to the failed transfer in order to have an actionable claim. If they do sell Spinazzola during this window for less than the amount agreed with Inter than maybe they can prove that the loss in value was due to Inter’s behaviour.

If they sell him for same or more than they got nothing against Inter.

Of course my opinion is not considering their agreement or other rules around failed transfers.

Conte said in the press conference that he gave a technical decision regarding Spinazzola. So much for the medical reason just like I said. Spinazzola didn't fail his medical. Our management just conjured some "reasons" to demand extra physical tests to be done.
What Conte said in the presser is perfectly in line with What a COACH needs/has to say about this. Does not mean he blames our management for this. He simply can give you a technical decision, for everything else he said go ask management.
You trying to find a needle in a haystack, to justify your claims that Inter is to blame here.

What I'm saying is that the reason for backing out was not a medical one and that makes us look ridiculous.

How can we know that definitively though? Like I said before if it was for medical reasons no one would publicise that.

I really don’t know what you expected Conte to say.
That “ oh yeah, spinnazolla is fucked health wise, so we didn’t sign him”. Think about it. Coaches won’t ever publicly ruin someone’s career like that. It’s unprofessional, irresponsible...there’s so many wrong if you expected Conte to come out at publicly say such thing.

Okay guys, whatever. No one has said it was for medical reasons, Conte has said he opposed the transfer with a technical decision but guess it was the medical reasons then. :trollol:

I didn't expect Conte to say anything about it, but since he said it was a technical decision, what should I say. How is saying it was a technical decision some professional act then? He made a fool out of Inter as a club since Inter sanctioned the players to fly to Milano/Roma to do medicals just to reject the whole deal over a technical decision.

Why would inter go through the trouble of making this transfer if the reasons weren't medical? Maybe he came here and was like, "fuck this team", or conte must've had a baseless change of heart in between the arrival and his short walk to the door of the building.

Why would he then say he made a technical decision? How that makes Inter look like? We force the players to fly to the corresponding cities to do medicals and then we reject the deal because of a technical decision? Because that's what it looks like publicly now after Conte's comments. Why not say the truth that Spinazzola failed the medical if that is the truth? How that would be worse than the current situation?

I don’t know are you trolling or not but still ...

“I made a technical decision for the Spinazzola-Politano transfer. That’s all I can say.”

From this sentence I understand that he wanted to swap Politano for Spinazzola because one fits in his tactics and other one doesn’t (technical decision) ...

“After that, other things happened that are not under my purview, so you’d have to ask someone else. I was asked for my opinion, I gave it, that can be listened to or not.“ - Conte

Here he’s saying that something went wrong with his medical/fitness tests. There is something that doctors can see from regular check up that coaches/directors cannot understand. We should take their opinions in consideration when such a big money is on the table.

Take Croat Janica Kostelic for example, won 5-6 Olympic gold medals, 3-4 Ski World Cups plus bunches of other things until age of 25. 2006 she won last World Cup and decided to retire at age of 25, perfectly healthy for competition, just won the World Cup.

When they asked her later she said that she was tired of trainings in pain since she had knee surgeries in her career.

Santon is similar case, never the same after injury.

Real Ronaldo

I don’t blame management, feeling bad for both players but we have to think about long term benefit of the club.

Might have been something more, less or different. It's a bit mysterious I agree. Something didnt sit right with Inter and they bailed.

There’s nothing mysterious about it. The guy had or they found out something they didn’t like in the medical, and inter change their minds, and requested more tests. Roma knew about that therefore didn’t authorize it, for so many reasons, one of them to protect their asset and player.
You can read between the lines as much as you want if you want to find someone to blame or start a conspiracy theory.
If this guy was 100% fit and nothing wrong with him, and Roma was convinced on that, you think that bitch petrachi or Roma in general woundlt yell and bark in the media EVERY DAY to shit on inter? They’ve been quiet so far.

Does it matter the fucking reason we didn't go through with this deal? Roma can generally fuck off as far as I'm concerned. Let's not forget how they hardballed us for Dzeko and helped Juve with FFP by buying the very same Spinazzola for 30 fucking million Euro...

So who is making conspiracy theories if Conte says it was a technical decision and no one said it was about the medical, and then you say it was the medical?

Conte has said he opposed the transfer with a technical decision.

Did he really say that? Not sure how I missed that, coz what I read was Conte saying:

“I made a technical decision for the Spinazzola-Politano transfer. That’s all I can say. After that, other things happened that are not under my purview, so you’d have to ask someone else. I was asked for my opinion, I gave it, that can be listened to or not."

I think Conte is implying that he gave the green light to the Spinazzola move from a technical point of view, but after that for some other reason it did not work out. Which makes sense, coz we can assume that the coach's technical opinion is taken much before a player travels for his medical.
