If you read the full interview with Ausilio, he basically said we're pursuing Candreva and selling a few players (but not Icardi) and shouldn't expect much more than that.

So we can expect what

Handa
Ansaldi-Miranda-Muri-Erkin
Candreva-Medel-Kondo-Perisic
Banega
Icardi

Still Medel our DLP?! :palm:

I'd rather play Brozo in RM in stead of buying Candreva and rather splash on Biglia in stead of watching Medelo torment us with his exquisite footwork!!!

I agree with you. A player like Biglia is more important for us than a RW (eg Candreva). But ideally, we need both if we want to mount a serious challenge for the Top 3.

But mancini resist to play gnukouri even in the last meaningless match against Sassoulo....
That is being said, we failed to qualify for the CL and at the same time fail to develop our young players....
I assume a good coach like klopp can achieve both. or a good coach like mou can push one side to the extreme....
I mean, some coach spent 80M last season and achieved none of these, and still not happy with others.....

Giving a coach 80-90m to spend is very different from telling him that he can only spend whatever he makes from sales of players. Inter made money from transfers last season, that is not investing. Moreover, I don't think Mancini had a completely free hand of who he could buy last summer - no manager does in Italy... Yaya Toure is one example. Whether Inter made the right call or not on an out of contract Yaya last summer, that is debatable. But for sure Yaya would have contributed more than what K-dog did - who knows whether that was the difference between 3rd and 4th spot? Marcotti (or was it Di Marzio?) had mentioned a story of what is wrong at Inter - apparently the first name on Mancini's wishlist last summer was Dybala, and Inter were the first to make an offer... but there was a few million gap between Inter's offer and Palermo's demand. The time it took Mancini to convince Inter management to increase their offer, Juve had already swooped in and paid the asking price. I don't know whether this is true or not, but it does sound like Inter unfortunately.

But you are right, I don't think Mancini is here to develop young talents. He is the wrong manager for that. He is here to achieve results, and for that he needs his type of players. A few Inter managers have been frustrated with this confused strategy - how many times we have heard "either you ask me to develop players, or ask me for results"... sadly, with our limited budgets thats an either/or choice - its unrealistic to expect both... but Inter management seems to lack the conviction to commit to one strategy. I think thats the crux of the impasse between Inter and Mancini today.

I think this is the problem at our hands at the moment. It's indeed either/or. We are STILL paying the price for the hastiness of Moratti. He just couldn't start a new project, ever. It was the same thing with Thohir all along. He was here just to streamline (and made some cash for himself in the process). So here we are now with the Chinese, who want to only invest in young players and build a good organization for the long term. Problem is that Thohir as a president expects CL football as soon as possible. At least with Mancini, it clearly is not possible with this team so he demands reinforcements. But reinforcements are not young players (because young reinforcement players cost 50m a piece) which are what the owners want.

So there is the contradiction.

The issue is that our long term project starts by balancing our books and the most efficient way is getting back to Champions League (and those 30-40m per year).

Every year we fail to qualify for CL is another shitty sell-before-buy mercato.

Number 1 reason behind Juve's growth in the last 5 years is CL money+the mercato year they had Pirlo, Vidal, Vucinic and Lich.

Its not like Suning don't want CL and only Thohir wants it. CL is a must, a goal stated by everyone in our hierarchy.

Number 1 reason behind Juve's growth in the last 5 years is CL money+the mercato year they had Pirlo, Vidal, Vucinic and Lich.

Remember the players they had before the 11/12 season when they brought in your four mentioned players. Their philosophy back then was similar to what some users in here want us to do as they thought the way to get the club up and running most efficiently was by investing in already proven players.

Tiago (27), Luca Toni (33), Quagliarella (27), Mellberg (31), Amauri (28), Poulsen (28), Grosso (31), Salihamidzic (30), Iaquinta (28), Grygera (27) and Andrade (29) were some of their high-profile signings. The result was zero scudettos in this period (07 to 11) which seemed to make them transform their scouting into players like these;.

Bonucci (23), Vidal (24), Lichtsteiner (27), Asamoah (24), Pogba (19), Isla (24), Coman (20), Morata (21), Dybala (21), Zaza (24) and Alex Sandro (24). They did as well sign a number of older players like Pirlo and Evra on free transfers, but my point is that the players we regard the most in their team are the ones they brought in and developed a bit by them self. It concludes that it is possible to qualify for CL and win the league at the same time as you have a focus on the development of your players.

Nah, it's they Hire Cunte as The biggest factor they got back to Scudetto. When they coached by Ranieri, del Neri, Ferrara, Zaccheroni, they were complete joke :awyeah:

So apparently it's two acquisitions, one being Candreva in all likelyhood. This for Mancini to stay. And no Icardi sale.

Hopefully we can manage to do that and put behind all this BULLSHIT about Mancio and Icardi. I'd really like to see some transfer rumors coming to Inter and not going out from Inter like in the last week or something.

IMO we need someone for Medel's place. Someone who's defensively minded but can pass and hold the ball to save his life (Medel can't).

CdS: Ausilio need 30m for FFP, the plan is to sell 1-2 players to JS Suning at January to save Brozovic and Murillo now!

Melo and Eder are you ready for China?

If we can do that so #welcomeWitsel ;)

So we do have money, via Jiangsu I presume?! Why can't we sign another mf then?

I think its because we got bigger worries right now, mostly to do with the coaching situation. That needs sorting before we spend any big money... you can't make a big singing and the coach says I don't want him.

The Icardi mess also needs sorting, but that can be done in conjunction with any big signings. But Inter need to confirm their coach for next season first. I don't think Suning want to spend loads this summer if its going to be Leonardo in charge.

Sky predicts this
they say Brozo could play in Medel's position
I'm not a big Candreva fan as you know,but...oh well better than Biabia I guess or Eder, and Brozo is no RW

but Medel still being our regista...
