Exactly. Like I've said many many times, Coutinho won't be anything special for Inter for the next couple of years. He won't just jump to our first team next summer when he arrives.

We can't know for sure :)

Well, if he shows what he is capable of, I see nothing to stop him to play for the first team. For instance, look pato.

Well guys the game before last saw Coutinho come on as a second half sub once again. He came on in the 64th minute, I cannot see this video at work, so please watch it and let me know if he does anything in the highlights....

He didn't do anything in the highlights, other than celebrating the penalty kick goal Vasco scored. Highlights showed only the goals of this match and Coutinho wasn't involved in those.

Definetly Coutinho will have to grow up a little and with age he will do that, but even then he will be tiny, and how is that different from Xavi, Iniesta or Silva who all aren't exactly 1,85 top models.

Right now he looks like a kid, who he is, but 2, 3 years and we'll be alright.
Xavi and Inesta are out of this world, very intelligent 'brainy' players. its like comparing Suazo with old R9 because they're quick.

@ Il Capitano: Pato wasn't a bench player in Brazil's second division before coming to Milan.

At this point, I rate Krhin as a better, more competent player. Let Coutinho go into the Primavera for a while and bulk up a little, then we can start getting excited.

If Coutinho is even close to Pato's level, then he will be 50x better than Khrin...

Exactly. Xavi and Iniesta are so good because they have grown in an environment of short passing and clever football (Barcelona academy). And Coutinho really can't be compared to Pato. Pato was a starter for Internacional at the age of 17, and played Serie A in Brazil.

Most of the Youtube clips we've seen from Coutinho, are in junior matches.

Like said, most probably it needs Primavera stint for Coutinho before he can adapt to Italian football.

Why, do you think Khrin is close to Pato's level?

Don't want to be smart or anything but you can't really compare striker with midfielder. And we know very little of Krhins skills because he played for only 5 or 10 minutes, and vs. Milan we didn't have our first team in the first half.

That is very true, but it must be obvious that Pato is of much higher quality...he is less than a year older than Khrin and has already put in 62 appearances with Milan and hes scored almost 30 goals already. Khrin would have been brought up earlier if he was near Pato's level...like Santon and Balotelli were.

I truly hope that he becomes a star, but I do not think he can touted as better than Coutinho when Khrin was unknown until this year, while Coutinho has been hailed as the next Ronaldinho...

OK, by your logic, Krhin is a year younger than Santon...where was Santon a year ago?

Give Krhin a chance and if he'll fail, he'll fail...nothing we can do about it. Jose sees potential in him, don't jugde him until we've seen him play.

Coutinho will be playing regularly from day one with us... Not a starter but slowly brought into the team. Don't under-estimate his abilities as a lot of people rate him as high as Pato in terms of Technique and speed.

This hailing has nothing to do with reality in most cases. They hail all the promising youngsters in Brazil/Argentina to be the next Maradona/Ronaldinho/etc.

We can't really compare Coutinho and Krhin at this point as we've seen so little of them (in men's level!). After the season, we're probably much more wiser.

And Xavi is 12 years older, Iniesta 6 ?

He is 17 for God sake. I didn't say he will be like them when he is a teenager. I pointed out neighter of those are big players, but they do fine, so why Coutinho can't in a few years too? Obviously he can and his physics won't be a problem if everything will be done right by our physicians.
