In my personal opinion, Coutinho should have gone to a club other than Liverpool. He is behind Downing, Henderson and Sterling in the pecking order. He needs to play regularly and I do not see that happening in Liverpool. He is ineligible for the EL, and Liverpool have been eliminated from the cup competitions. They have 12 games remaining in the league and are 6 points behind the last EL spot for next season. He played 911 minutes in the first half of the season, and he played 1175 minutes at Espanyol last season. How many will he hope to play in Livepool this season?

He needs to go to a club where he is easily the first choice, where he can play regardless of how many bad performances he puts up.

They spent more on Henderson, Downing and Sturridge. So by transfer price he is a bench player there.

I am convinced that he is lower in the pecking order in Liverpool than he is at Inter. The only upside is in Liverpool they play 4-2-3-1 So there are more attacking players on the pitch, which might even things out, but at his stage of development he should be seeking out much more playing time than he would have gotten here. At Inter he would have been eligible to play in at least 5 more matches than at Liverpool, that is 42% more than available to him at Liverpool, and that is assuming we get no further in the EL and Coppa.

He didn't play a single minute since mid december and was hardly any match fit. He was left out of squad for one game as he joined just a day or 2 before the match. Then he as included in the match day squad and got 10 mins. He is just eased into the team as Liverpool have nothing to play for this season.

I'm not sure on what basis you are saying he won't get mins at Liverpool. And no he is not behind Downing and Henderson in pecking order. Downing is played as RW and Henderson either as CM or RM.

He will be a rotational player as he has long way to become the player he wants to be and the important thing at Liverpool is manager is willing to give young players a chance in the first team for whatever reasons but Inter didn't (only exception being Juan).
