Good post! It's crazy how the league starts at the 17th and Lautaro is coming back for training on the 8th of August. I would prefer not having him play at all during the 1st matches of Serie A rather than rushing his preparation
With every summer having some kind of international tournament either in NT or in club level now, its impossible for the most important players to get the right level of rest & fitness training
Who gets paid double should work double. Work quality must be ensured all time. That's how employments goes everywhere.Good post!
Get ready for the inevitable complaints that he is not performing to the level of his pay grade and that he is not a top tier striker. Also, that he misses too many chances and should be sold for the right offer. Then there are the complaints that he is always goes missing for two months of a season and that he cannot be counted on to lead the team.
There is little acknowledgment that we do not have a player that can replicate his game, substitute and allow him to adequately rest.
He works tirelessly from the front. He chases down balls and closes down opponents. He leads by example like no other in our team. Given his work ethic and dedication to the Argentine National by default the extension of his season, a drop in performance is only natural.
Lautaro has come along way: from the newcomer that was in the shadows of Icardi, struggling to get minutes, to taking over his mantle and being the leader and Captain that the team and club so richly deserve.
To whomever who cares, the next game is today.
Pretty much every top team is playing bad teams at this point. These games are just for conditioning anyway. Is it really worth playing a Serie C side for preparation?
Can anybody post a link for today's game?
Thanks a lot.
Interesting if that is indeed the formation with Zielinski in the middle instead of Asllani.
