There’s not too much to read into a sleepy schoolyard game, but for its worth:

Taremi: Looked promising. It’s refreshing to have a conventional striker again who seems to know how to make space for himself off the ball. Keen to see how he does alongside the big boys.

Zielinski: Had a very lively half. He has the profile to be a perfect Inzaghi midfielder. Much more of a Miki replacement than Frattesi.

Of the two young starters, Fontanaroso stood out more. But then again, Kamata appeared to be a left-footed player playing RWB.

Berenbruch and Cocchi also stood out, though the latter only played for a few minutes.

I was not expecting to see Agoume playing CB, but he did well (though never tested) and made the best pass of the game.

Bisseck was my best performer of the first half (Zielinski can make a case) and Miki in the second half.

Salcado scored with a decent finish, but I have an irrational hatred of this guy, and his goal only makes me despise him even more.

Looking forward to seeing Martinez tested more in the coming weeks.

Also what the fuck was up with the thick clouds of mosquitoes. Are the ground surrounded by swamps? Is it always like that?

Maybe Zielinski will be the starter and he doesn't want to overplay him (I'm hoping) - he also just came to the camp, Mkhi has been there since day 1

the bigger issue is why didn't Inzaghi make more subs earlier? I'd like to see some of the kids play a bit more

Because it was 1:0. I would have kept Zielinski for another 25-30 minutes.

Winning or losing doesn't matter in preseason. I just want players to get their fitness up and try out some younglings. Inzaghi could've made the subs earlier.

This is all good news. I would still rather have a new CB, but I guess we decided on trusting Acerbi to play for another season.

Maybe this preseason we should be trying out Pavard, Bastoni or Bisseck as a middle CB just in case, if ever Acerbi and De Vrij get injured?

if he doesnt test them against Lugano or Pergolettese , then will never.
at Inzaghi if you are branded RCB or regista you stay in that position until the apocalypse.

Did you miss the last year? Fratessi is not suited well for the midfield. As a super sub his is great.

I don’t think he watches the games, just looks at age. 90% of his post are spamming the youth threads, demanding we don’t play anyone over the age of 25.

He was a supersub, but i think hes now a potential starter, and i hope the contracts of Micky and Zielinski dont interfere with that.
