Hi, first post here and I do respect the fact I am on a rival fans football forum.
I felt to need to register, not to argue and add fuel to the fire but merely to state that the views posted on here by some heartbroken LFC (Rafa fans) by no means represent the general feeling of most LFC fans who have the club at heart, and not still clinging on their love affair with Rafa, pining for him to come back 'home'
Some right cringeworthy stuff going on over this matter at home, that's understandable these Rafa fans have lost a loved one and like little tearful girls when their fave boy band breaks up they need consoling and a place to grieve.
To come on this forum though and force their opinions on Inter fans, and resorting to abuse if people dare disagree with them is bang out of order in my opinion.
All my mates are local, match going decent reds, all grown up fellas been going the match since the 60's/70's and are no fools, they know their football inside out.
All these reds wanted Rafa out, most didn't want Hodgson, but that's not the issue here, they wanted Rafa out not because they hated him, but simply because his time was up, for 4 years he did nothing for the club, a few near misses here and there but for a club like Liverpool 'near misses' are not good enough.
The 'tactical genius'as some people like to call him lost an amazing 19 games last season, and in the season when we should have won the title, we blew it by drawing 10 games in the league.
Those draws cost us the title, if we were a bit more adventurous and showed more 'bottle' we could have turned some of those draws into victories even it meant losing some of those 10 games in the process.
4 wins and 6 defeats would have been a better return in that season of 10 draws.
We played some of the worst football in living memory under Rafa last season, and some of his tactics (especially in 'must win' games) beggared believe. His press conferences became an embarrassing joke too, he tried to be clever, tried to be a smart arse but just ended up losing the respect of the English media.
It's been well documented the amount of cash he wasted on players, so I won't go into that, but let's just say it's obvious to all with a football brain, that Rafa overspent on some overated, overpriced garbage.
Probably my only post here, as I said I personally felt the need to redress the balance on how most people back home see the Rafa situation and I think I've done that.
I have nothing against Benitez, I wish him and Inter the best of luck for this season, I have no axe to grind against the man, he's moved on from LFC, rightly so in my opinion, end of story, life goes on.
It just never ceases to amaze me that some Liverpool fans can't accept he's gone, and are reduced to coming on here to preach their thoughts on him to fans of his new club, and wrongly get abusive when people voice their differing opinions back.
One thing is for sure and this will really upset some Rafa fans, I doubt very much he will ever manage LFC again.
Good luck from a true scouser, speaking on behaf on many other true scousers, hope you get your season back on track (with or without Benitez)
