Because I can do that as an Inter supporter.

It is odd that THE GUEST LIVERPOOL FAN wants to tell me THE INTER SUPPORTER what to do on an INTER FORUM.

I sincerely hope Liverpool gets relegated. You can have Benitez the big fat pig back anytime, we don't want him here because he is not good enough.

Whats even more odd, fans from another team having to support YOUR manager from attacks from non Inter fans and classy Inter fans such as yourself.
And its not about been a Inter fan you have plenty of decent respectful Inter fans who also want Rafa gone, but unfortunately the majority on this thread are ignorant bigots who dont want to talk about football.
Their more interested in spewing their hate filled bile.
And the biggest shame is the mods have allowed it to go on.
PS One day you may get another chance to come to Anfield but i seriously wouldnt advise it.
When we go to San Siro we will be supported by the Red & Black.

just go with the flow or go against the flow

Since Atletico beat us I lost all my confidence in Rafa... even at preseason friendlies we sucked, what was our best result? a 3 0 win against Man City who had 10 men? Then we lost with fucking Pananthiniakos? then we drawed with a fucking MLS team... :(

And pls, the record against Mou is the ONLY positive thing he has.

Can someone actually provide us the exact details of this so-called record ? I am at a point where it seems to me that because everybody repeats something, then it's true. So someone please help me out and provide me with a record of their head-to-head matches. Thank you.

You're a guest and nothing else. You are out of line. Are you threatening me, not advising me to come to Anfield? Are you proud that red and black swine will back you? Why don't you go on their forum?
If you don't like it here why don't you go away and spend your time with the Scouse? Or is it that even the Scouse don't want you around?

Truth one day you might get a chance again to play in the Champions League, but that day won't come for a loong time. Scouse out and take the big pig with you, thanks.

2004/05 League: Chelsea won both games 1-0. League cup: Chelsea won 3-2
Champions league: 0-0 and 1-0 so out of 5 games that season Rafa won one game, drew one and got beat THREE times.

2005/2005 League: Chelsea won 4-1 at Anfield and 2-0 at Stamford bridge. Champions League: 0-0 in both games, Fa Cup: Liverpool win 2-1 so out of 5 games Rafa got beat twice and got 2 draws and 1 win

2006/07 League: 1-0 to Chelsea 2-0 to Liverpool. Champions League 1-0 to Liverpool 1-0 to Chelsea(Liverpool win on penalties) Liverpool win Charity shield

Jose: 7 wins Rafa: 4 wins

Thanks SneijderIsGod

AllezAllez, God bless you. However, just so no one accuses you of distorting the records, I'll help you out.

(1) Liverpool won on penalties not Chelsea.
(2) There is the matter of FA Cup and Charity Shield.

So can you update that so that anytime anyone in future refers to this bogus issue of record, we can always have a definitive record to consult.

Interesting read:

Adam Digby On November - 9 - 2010
Rafael Benitez And Inter: Diesel In A Petrol Engine?

We’ve all seen it at petrol stations across the world. The driver sat with their forehead resting on the wheel, realising the costly & potentially ruinous mistake they have just made. Perhaps Massimo Moratti is feeling that way about his Inter side right now, although given some of his appointments in the past, perhaps not.

But truth is plain for all to see, the previously unstoppable machine that was Inter under Jose Mourinho is stuttering & failing to spark into life, looking for all the world like its running on the wrong fuel. While the former Liverpool coach has his critics he has an impressive enough record to warrant an important club like Inter considering him, but to follow the Portuguese was never the right move given their history.

Before the season began I made the analogy that this was like appointing Don Revie to replace Brian Clough, a reversal of the situation that forms the basis of “The Damned United”. Filling the void left by a Mourinho departure has proven difficult at Porto & Chelsea, but Moratti compounded his own clubs misery by charging that task to a man who’s ego would never allow him to just keep the engine ticking over, to continue from last season without making changes.

Winning the treble is the ultimate dream of any serious club, & one that Inter achieved last year thanks in no small part to the drive, intelligence & tactical ingenuity of the self-proclaimed Special One. He took advantage of a veteran team, sat deep & played on the counter to devastating effect. This defence-first approach served him well & not only exploited the weaknesses of great teams like Barcelona, Bayern Munchen & Chelsea, but shielded the flaws of his own side.

That aging defence, built on the impressive Lucio & Walter Samuel were usually happy to defend the edge of their own area, allowing play to evolve in front of them with no space behind, letting the two players read the game as they do so well. Samuel Eto’o & Goran Pandev were asked to sacrifice themselves to protect the flanks, which they were happy to do, a move attributed to Mourinho’s widely applauded & excellent man-management.

In attack the skill & vision of Wesley Sneijder helped both the Dutch midfielder & Diego Milito to enjoy perhaps their finest seasons, with both players nominated for countless awards & the Argentine striker second in the league scoring charts. Every department played in a way that suited the personnel available, despite the club not signing too many players since the departure of Roberto Mancini.

Benitez came in this summer & immediately began to ring the changes. He implemented a pressing style similar to that employed by Sacchi’s teams, a coach much admired by the ex Valencia man, who spent time at Milanello studying that dominating side at close quarters in the early 90′s. Not long after arriving he made a statement that eerily echoed that infamous Clough-Revie TV interview saying;

“Mourinho has done a great job here, but I’m different. I like to win, but to play well if it’s possible. My objective is to keep a winning mentality but play better football”

Clearly not a believer in the old adage “if it ain’t broke, don’t try to fix it” Benitez reconstructed Inter in his own style, moving the defensive line far higher & implementing his usual 4-2-3-1 set up. This means those central defenders are no longer reading the game ahead of them & adjusting, they are constantly forced to turn & chase back, a trend that suits neither man.

The removal of the shield in front of them has meant greater use of Chivu & Maicon as orthodox fullbacks, again exposing the flaws in both. Maicon was shown up by Gareth Bale of Tottenham last week – a game expertly assessed by ZonalMarking.net - with no man ahead of him to help protect & Lucio far too high up the pitch to give him time to cover across.

Last months Derby d’Italia saw the same happen to Chivu against Milos Krasic, 45 minutes the Romanian will not forget. Seeing him lambast Benitez on numerous occasions this season over a lack of protection shows just how much this shift has affected the team. Benitez, often lauded as a master tactician, seems at a loss to arrest this slide, which is a real cause for concern.

Much like Clough at Leeds or diesel in a petrol engine this simply will not work. The problem grows ever worse, with the side currently being carried along on the goals of Samuel Eto’o, but his scoring streak will not last. With the Club World Cup coming up the fixture backlog will grow, & an old team looking every year of its age could well do without the distraction.

Sneijder, Milito, Pandev & Lucio look shadows of the men that bestrode Europe last season, & only one man can take responsibility for that. With fans leaving messages of love at the San Siro for Mourinho he clearly does not have the popular vote, nor can he cite boardroom disruption for the teams troubles, at Inter Rafael Benitez was given ideal conditions to work in. His vanity prevents him returning the team to the style that served it so well &, as a man who’s fortune lies in oil, Massimo Moratti knows all too well that to prevent lasting damage it will soon be time to flush the pipes.

Hi, first post here and I do respect the fact I am on a rival fans football forum.

I felt to need to register, not to argue and add fuel to the fire but merely to state that the views posted on here by some heartbroken LFC (Rafa fans) by no means represent the general feeling of most LFC fans who have the club at heart, and not still clinging on their love affair with Rafa, pining for him to come back 'home'

Some right cringeworthy stuff going on over this matter at home, that's understandable these Rafa fans have lost a loved one and like little tearful girls when their fave boy band breaks up they need consoling and a place to grieve.

To come on this forum though and force their opinions on Inter fans, and resorting to abuse if people dare disagree with them is bang out of order in my opinion.

All my mates are local, match going decent reds, all grown up fellas been going the match since the 60's/70's and are no fools, they know their football inside out.

All these reds wanted Rafa out, most didn't want Hodgson, but that's not the issue here, they wanted Rafa out not because they hated him, but simply because his time was up, for 4 years he did nothing for the club, a few near misses here and there but for a club like Liverpool 'near misses' are not good enough.

The 'tactical genius'as some people like to call him lost an amazing 19 games last season, and in the season when we should have won the title, we blew it by drawing 10 games in the league.

Those draws cost us the title, if we were a bit more adventurous and showed more 'bottle' we could have turned some of those draws into victories even it meant losing some of those 10 games in the process.

4 wins and 6 defeats would have been a better return in that season of 10 draws.

We played some of the worst football in living memory under Rafa last season, and some of his tactics (especially in 'must win' games) beggared believe. His press conferences became an embarrassing joke too, he tried to be clever, tried to be a smart arse but just ended up losing the respect of the English media.

It's been well documented the amount of cash he wasted on players, so I won't go into that, but let's just say it's obvious to all with a football brain, that Rafa overspent on some overated, overpriced garbage.

Probably my only post here, as I said I personally felt the need to redress the balance on how most people back home see the Rafa situation and I think I've done that.

I have nothing against Benitez, I wish him and Inter the best of luck for this season, I have no axe to grind against the man, he's moved on from LFC, rightly so in my opinion, end of story, life goes on.

It just never ceases to amaze me that some Liverpool fans can't accept he's gone, and are reduced to coming on here to preach their thoughts on him to fans of his new club, and wrongly get abusive when people voice their differing opinions back.

One thing is for sure and this will really upset some Rafa fans, I doubt very much he will ever manage LFC again.

Good luck from a true scouser, speaking on behaf on many other true scousers, hope you get your season back on track (with or without Benitez)

great article, assesses our situation perfectly, unless rafa changes his tactics (which is probably never going to happen) he has to go

Ur a whopper. U dint ve anything concrete. How many times should I rip u apart? Compare his net spend with his contemporaries. SAF's record was offset by 80 mil transfer of CR to RM. Do u know his record? Have u got inflation adjusted figures? Do u know about Transfer Index devised to provide a level perspective on transfers. Again lies, lies and more.

yeah stats are lies and only what rafa says is fachts right? even with cristiano's selling benitez still spent more than ferguson duing their time at epl u stupid moron.

Thank you for taking the time to post in this "hot topic" thread.

By far this was the most useful post I've read on this thread.
