Yup, that was Cancelo.

Rafinha did play a role in our 4th goal though, inch-perfect pass out to Candreva, and then the backheel that led to the goal.

He won the penalty as well.

He is growing on me but not as fast as Skriniar(this happens once ever 20years in Inter?) or as fast as Cancelo.

Skriniar is pretty much my favorite player. Haven't liked a player as much since Deki, Zanetti, and Samuel.

I love Rafinha because I think he's been the biggest reason for our improvement in midfield. Having someone that is intelligent, can pass, and had vision is welcome.

This guy knows how to play, Gagliardini looks unbelievable with him and even Brozovic acts serious and less nervous.

He improved our midfield by smart, simple play, running a lot on right places and sacrificing in defense. Classic example of leading by example. Respect!

Sign him even before Cancelo

Rafinha has been really important and is a BIG upgrade to what we've had. Just as how good Icardi became when everyone was working hard I think Rafinha will also get even better when people around him works hard and he can make these passes.
Exactly, it`s like the missing piece of the puzzle for the attacking phase, linking up play between midfield and wingers. Wait and see how he will make Ivan perform better and make Candreva look good again! A smart player knows how to best use his team-mates` strongest attributes. Rafinha knows exactly when to hold the ball, when to make a short run (that penalty), and when to pass towards his team mate. He has great technique but he`s not a ball hogger.

Him and Icardi seem to like each other so connection is also an important factor.

Rafinha is slowly, but surely, becoming one of the pillars at Inter. Speaking to the Corriere della Sera, Spillo Altobelli, an Inter legend, has nothing but praise for the Brazilian midfielder.

“His father did a nice job explaining Italian football to him. Rafinha is the type of player that is needed at Inter, the club that has been searching for a trequartista with his characteristics. He has excellent techniques and sees the game before others. He knows how to put you in the position to score and he is just perfect after Icardi. There were doubts on his physical condition but it seems to me that his minutes are increasing every week.”

Inter have won the bet on Rafinha, according to the Corriere dello Sport. In January, without any money, Sabatini and Ausilio focused entirely on the ex-Barcelona midfielder to meet the needs of Spalletti.

Spalletti is now in love with Rafinha, to the point that he has dismantled the midfield of Vecino and Borja Valero to make room for the Brazilian, from 65 minutes versus Benevento and Napoli to 80 minutes last Sunday against Sampdoria. Clear improvement. His possible stay in Milan, a city that he loves, is linked to the Champions League. And with how he is playing, Inter could very well achieve this goal.”

I know most of the people expected Pastore, but that was not possible in the winter... Sabatini smokescreen or not, I don`t regret it at all. So far Rafinha is proving his football genetics and I hope we`ll sign him outright, along with Cancelo.
afinha is considerably younger and quicker than Pastore, performing for a lower wage. Better investment, that`s for sure!

The more matches are played, the more Cancelo and Rafinha are showing that they are worthy of this club. Both are now considered to be importance pieces for Luciano Spalletti. According to Sky journalist, Andrea Paventi, Inter for such a long time did not have a player of Rafinha quality and characteristics, one that is finding his form again and in good physical condition. Spalletti did a good job at managing his usage, slowing inserting him in the lineup and now he is playing more regularly. For the Brazilian, the cost to redeem him is very high at 35 million plus three more in bonuses. If he continues to do well until the end of the season, Inter should make the Champions League and with that, the Nerazzurri could also think of acquiring Rafinha for good. He has great Champions League experience already and has performed on important stages in European football.

I like that he brought out the best in Candreva. Not that Candreva can't do better, but Rafinha was the one player that really linked up well with him.

Rafinha's only concern was injury, let's wait and see if he can stay injury free until end of season.

Candreva used to play better as well when Valero was effective as AM at early part of the season.

Well, we've essentially gone from having a giant black hole between our wingers to a player who knows how to distribute the ball. I don't think its a coincidence that our wingers had their best game in weeks.

Exclusive: Barcelona warn Inter over Rafinha permanent move

La Liga giants Barcelona will not lower their asking price for Rafinha, who is currently on loan at Inter, Fabrizio Romano understands.

The 25-year-old Rafinha is currently on a loan spell at Inter, after he joined the nerazzurri on loan from Barcelona itself. Since joining in January, the Brazilian has appeared seven times for Luciano Spalletti's men, assisting once but showing glimpses of his quality.

Fabrizio Romano says that while Inter are impressed with the player and want to sign him a permanent basis in the upcoming summer, But the Catalans won't budge from their asking price of 35 million euros that they had set when the loan agreement was made in January. The deal will also include a 3 million bonus

Rafinha is convinced he wants to stay at Inter and believes that it is the right place for him to develop in his career.

How much Inter pay for him will depend on whether they qualify for the Champions League or not, but Barcelona will not lower their asking price whatsoever.

If he proves to stay healthy by the end of this season then sign him permanently at all costs. His quality and our need for a player like him are never questions.

Honestly guys, I don't understand this "if he stays healthy" argument. Both him and Thiago seem to have in genes, they're very injury prone, just take a look at the list on transfermarkt. It's naive to expect Rafinha's not going to have injuries. The question is whether even then we want him and looking at majority of your comments the answer seems to be no. I would still say yes, he adds a lot to our game and I think he can be better once players around him improve, he links very well with everyone. So I would be fine with gettign even with having him for let's say 0.5-0.75 season each year.

I'd extent the loan for another season - which Barcelona has no reason to accept but if no concrete offers come, why not? - and also look to sign Javier Pastore if he still wants out of PSG.

Of course our wingers play better when they get the ball to them quicker and have space to run into, too bad both of them lack composure to make the right decisions at times but hey I think they're both very gifted players.

After important performances of the last few weeks, following the recovery from his physical trouble, Inter have started evaluations for redeeming Rafinha at the end of the season. According to ESPN Espanyol, the club of Suning intends to re-negotiate down the 35 million euros plus 3 in bonuses agreed with Barcelona in January.

Surprisingly, given the fact that Barca do not consider Rafinha as an important technical element of the team, the Spanish club is actually willing to listen, to accommodate the wish of Inter. However, ESPN reports that Barcelona will not go below the 30 million euros mark. The next couple of months will be crucial for the future of Rafinha at Inter but in the meantime, the Brazilian midfielder is winning the fans over on the field.

According to FC Inter News, Inter will contact Barcelona after Easter holidays to discuss the redemption of the Blaugrana youth product. The Nerazzurri want to permanently keep the midfielder and this contact is necessary for them to ask Barcelona for a small discount in this transaction.
