Damn, what a terrible first half we had. Started with the starting line up itself, coz we just made too many changes in absense of our main midfielder. Asllani has been terrible but so have been Arna, Dumfries, Barella and others.

Pavard and the defense have been okay, except for that initial stupidity.

We are lucky not to be down by few more goals. I hope the half time talk and mainly few changes would turn this game around. Bad timing of Cuadrado's injury as well.

Barella was shit, but at least he drops back and makes himself available for his teammates. Mkhitaryan on the other was doing a Vecino. He is the one who should come off not Asllani.

asllani and arnautovic are looking at best as seria a rotational players and nothing more, which isn't surprising tbh.

Exactly why letting Brozovic go for peanuts was fucking stupid. We don't have the depth to replace a big player like him yet.

Thing is we need the forward to play the midfield, if it makes any sense, we are not playing from the back.
There was only one non-failed from striker to midfield so far.
Basically the game plan was kind of forward making space for midfielders, and Dumfries attack the channels.
Occasionally forwards run with direct goals, like the offside ones.

We never play midfield like the Spanish way.

Man Pavard is sexy forward and backward, also he and Dumfries were no shaken by the early goal, so was Sommers.

If we keep Asslani on we will be playing with 10am. Already yellow card and is not effective at distributing the ball at all. If you look closely, the defense pretty much bypass him because his positioning is very questionable

tbh, at some point we need to stop defending young players and they actually need to perform. Yes, there should always be leeway, but you also need them to actually step up. I cant think of anything Assclowni has actually shown at Inter so far tbh

That are not many midfielders that do already at 21 and certainly not at that position where experience dos matter noticeably. This is quite frankly to be expected of a 21 year old lad it’s not like it’s not seen before… putting him into the deep was an idiotic call when he clearly was not mentally ready for it. At this point it’s just way too early to call him a bust… Also doesn’t help Bastoni who need to be the calm person that he can lean on is so unreliable too.

You guys need to understand young players need time, poor performance is always part of it for plus 90% of them it’s part of developing most young players. If you cannot accept that then don’t ever get a player under 23 because it’s part of the package.

I would replace Asllani with Sensi, but the latter is not even registered. I don't expect this midfield functioning properly with Klassen either.

Exactly, makes the forward role even important, I think Arna really failed to do what he was meant to do, but normally he does a better job than Thuram in terms of this.

Yea it is so crazy seeing Pavard in the midfield, on the left side of the pitch, I don't know if it is a good thing or not, but it was fun to watch.
